Greetings. Im mew here and new to tundras. I just got a 2012 Rock Warrior. I am looking to see what I need to be able to fit 35s. Im ok with keeping the stock wheels. I keep seeing lifts or leveling kits that say they wont fit the rock warrior. Anyone know why it wouldnt? . Also... any good seat covers that wont break the bank?

I have a Rock Warrior and was similarly puzzled when I saw those disclaimers on aftermarket level/lift kits. The answer is that they will fit on a RW. The only material differences between a RW and other 2nd gen Tundras were the bigger factory tires and the blue and yellow Bilstein shocks. The blue and yellow shocks supposedly gave a slightly higher ride height, so the lift heights advertised by the aftermarket companies didn’t exactly apply to RWs, you’d get a little less net lift from them versus non-RWs.

With the factory RW wheels, you probably do not need to modify the suspension to clear 35s. I personally did not, but your truck’s alignment specs may cause you to rub in places mine didn’t. You will probably need to do a body mount chop (BMC or as some call it, CMC), bend or trim the skid plate, remove the front sway bar, and massage the plastic liner that attaches to the bumper to avoid rubbing on those things.

    I’ve been happy with the
    O.E Velour Seat Covers
they make. I’ve had them on since last Christmas and still holding up well.

No lift or BMC needed to slap 315/70r17s on RW wheels, looks stuffed though.

Well that looks awesome! I just dont like it dropped from the front... hopefully a leveling kit does the trick. I think I like the stock wheels without the "beadlock" discs
