Yeah, just saw your other post above about your experience with the oil coolers. When we scoped out his, the failure appears to be at the front of the cooler, where the metal meets plastic. That's where I'm seeing the majority of the spillover, and it looks like he has about 1qt of oil and lost several more quarts down the back of the engine, the block and trans are absolutely coated. It's a mess. I dunno why shops would torque down so hard, that o-ring on the filter cap is beefy as hell. Just oil it and snug it and call it a day! Damn gorillas working at lube places.

My thoughts exactly. Or potentially grey market. Any other oil companies using a yellow jug? If so, they probably peeled the sticker off and taped a new one in its place. You can't trust anything on Temu. It's scAmazon, AliBaba edition...

Bottom of the oil cooler just has a set of O rings that get flattened over time. I replaced them and torqued it back down and no leaks

One of the videos I watched showed similar. Guy in the video sounded Aussie, mentioned it was typically the one large one, alternately the two smaller diameter ones. Is definitely showing signs it’s coming from where the metal meets plastic, though. And a ton of oil at that.

Stupid question. How fast do our trucks go?

Somebody at some point told me they were limited to 105. Anyone confirmed this? I don't think I've ever done more than 85.

I only ask because I found myself in a situation recently when I could safely, controllably see how fast my Lexus would go. Highway in the middle of nowhere Illinois, dead straight road, zero hills, zero traffic, and in the daylight.

With gears, on the @speedo i could only do 85 before the govna kicked it, but supposedly that’s probably closer to 90-95

I've had my 2006 RCLB up to 95 a few times. The speed limit here is 80 on the interstate so it's easy to get up to 90 accidentally. It was pretty smooth at that speed, but I don't have a lifted truck or giant knobby tires.

Yeah, I've got no need to go that fast in the truck. I bet it would do it fairly well though with the new well balanced tires and the rear sway bar. It's super smooth and stable at 70. Maybe I'll try it once (in a safe, controlled environment) just to try it out.

Top speed in my Lexus was pretty anticlimactic. It's so aerodynamic and powerful that it's 132mph governor really didn't feel much faster than 80.

Yeah I had those ancient worn out MTs on the truck at the time and that was before I did all the suspension work

    Much better now

A throttle body. Specifically the piece the cable goes into.

I can probably swap that piece onto my throttle body but I think each one is tuned to the whole throttle body

What's wrong with your current one? The drum that the cable attaches to is actually a sensor. It's hard to find an OEM one, and especially difficult without it costing an arm and a leg. I do believe you can swap them out without needing to recalibrate.

110ish was the fastest. Got scared the back window of my cap was gonna come out.

Got a pic at 99. & that run made my oil pressure gauge start working.

How fast have you guys gone in any vehicle? I hit 143 in my 2003 Maxima. As a passenger we did 150 in my friends Mustang GT. I haven't been that fast in a long time. 12-15 years.

Fastest I've driven is 132 in my Lexus, as a passenger my dad and I did 167 in my grandpas C5 corvette. Both felt super planted and controlled. I wouldn't want to do anything above 110 in a vehicle that isn't as aerodynamic as one of those.
