    are there any aftermarket 3rd brake lights for the 3rd gens? Looking to update mine or just the bulbs. I need better lighting in my bed at night.

    There a several options. But, if it's just light in the bed you want there are better solutions. The 3rd brake light will never be able to produce great lighting for the bed IMO. See @mattgecko for some bed lights. Also, replacing the 3rd brake light means at least partially removing the headliner and usually losing the ability to swap bulbs from outside as the lens (at least the one I've got) can't be removed from outside.

    A long power wire is ran underneath the truck on top of the frame following an existing wiring harness to the trucks battery.

    @TruckinIt
    The bed liner makes it tough as the adhesive tape will not stay attached to the plastic. You would need to use silicone to attach the light strips to the bed liner.

    A little of this and a little of that.

    That’s no problem. I can silicone the chit out of it. Do you recommend a particular brand or just any clear silicone?

    I did the same thing! Great minds... LED strip 3M outdoor sticky-taped to my bed cover rails. Tapped into the bed light wire under the dash so they come on with the switch or door open.
