    Good morning everyone.

    Celebrated 23 years of marriage this past weekend. We just cannot believe the time has gone that fast. You know what they say "time flies when your having fun..."

    The thing I have noticed the most as I age is receiving notices about friends and family passing. One of my lifelong friend's dad passed this last week right before thanksgiving. He and my father were lifelong friends too. They would build guns, hunt, and build road racing classic cars. My two favorite cars they built was a 1970 Dodge Charger (440 six pack/4 speed) and a Dodge Dart that was raced at the Nevada open road race. Naturally their sons did a lot of the same fun stuff together. We would mostly drag race cars, enjoy the outdoors in MT, and have as much fun as possible as the law would allow (and sometimes just a bit past) :D. My friend now lives in Colorado and manages an indoor shooting range/gun sales. We will make the trip back to MT together to lay his father to rest in his favorite Montana range. I should probably pack for cold weather and be ready for some horseback riding (been a minute). It will be bitter sweet and now both our fathers can be back at it hunting and fishing again.

    I know what you mean, bud. I don't have much family (known - I do not know my real father), but with both my grandparents gone, the holiday gatherings are damn near ghost townesque. Sure miss the good ol times when the house was full - now nearly all the people who came to those are gone. Reminds me of a quote out of "A River Runs Through It" -

    I'm sorry about your friend's dad. He sounded like a great guy to know. Congrats on the anniversary!
