I banished any light below 5k years ago. Any light with the slightest hint of yellow makes me angry.

Yup, totally. I'm a 4k-all-day kinda guy. I can't handle anything that has that fluorescent Cool White appearance to it. I need a little bit of warmth. 5k is a little too arctic white.

Our entire interior house is this way with these lights. I would need to change every single damn light on all floors (with the exception of main floor guest bath as I did that when I remodeled it). Pass

Kids school sells live wreaths and garland every year for a fund raiser (a big one for our school) and got our delivered from WA today. Hung up the 2 window wreaths and the garland around the door. Always adds a nice pop.
I wrap the door garland with lights too

Looking at swapping some outlets to ones with usb-c. My question is, is what ampage to choose? Not sure what a good one would be for cell phones (mainly)?

If your phone supports fast charging and MagSafe you’ll want 30W USB-C. If your charging a laptop you’ll want 45-50W.

Your house is likely only wired for 15A outlets. Don’t put in 20A unless you are replacing one that already is (notice the extra little side slot?)

Newer houses typically wire outlet circuits for 20A, even if they have 15A outlets (totally legal btw).

Older homes or current cheap builders will wire outlets on 15A circuits.

Sean, I would buy the 15A outlets. You'll likely never need more than the 12 amps allowed on the circuit.

Forward looking camera, Stub Antenna, 3M clearshield. A few other non lifted items.
When I was installing new lights into the bedrooms of our new home, I bought the ones with a selection of light temps. We selected the one that the wife liked for the room.

Dig into the specs and see if what the advertised USB power rating is for each port or if it's shared across all the USB ports. On plug in chargers, the less expensive ones share the ratings across all the ports.

Just remember, it's not the best idea to charge your phone as fast as possible every time.
If you are one of those peoples who's phone is always at 20% charge then get as fast as possible charger.....I just slow charge my phone over night.

Finished building these chairs for my in-laws for their Christmas present this year. Took about 25 hours to build the pair. All the slats were cut from some 1x10's as I get those for free from a stack at my parents house. The frame received 2 coats of primer and them 3 coats of paint.

Looks like others already said 15A, but a couple of tidbits to share from experience.

If buying on scAmazon, make sure whatever you buy is at least UL-listed. But ideally, you want something that has some form of overcurrent protection so you don't blast your device.

Some outlets have the older style rectangular USB setup in such a way that you can't use a standard plug while USB is plugged in. I've got one such outlet in my house.

You want the output on the USB ports to be an individual* output of 3A + 15W or better if possible per port, or 5A + 30W total.

Note that the depth of some units can be troublesome depending on your install, like if you're doing something in a basement area, where you may've used furring strips versus full studs.

Not remotely trying to say you shouldn't use one of the bullshit ALLCAPS-GIBBERISH-BS brand names off scAmazon by any stretch, but ... knowing your outlet catching fire can leave you homeless, you may want to stick with a trusted name brand like Leviton. Don't save $5-10/outlet just to lose a 6-7 figure valued home. These are half-off thru Monday. They sell one with mixed USB, and one with dual-USB-C.

As always, I love learning and respect your input. The above says not for laptops. Would this be acceptable for iPads?

You’re not likely to find one of those outlets rated to charge a laptop. You’ll be fine with an ipad though.
And I’d echo what shifty said.

Need some advice. Working on the back patio ceiling to install some t&g boards once I get finished staining them. Does anyone have an idea how many 6” flush mount led lights I should install? The patio is 27ft long and 10ft deep. Ceiling height is about 7.5ft. I’ll be hanging a ceiling fan in the center and then doing the flush led’s on both sides of the fan. I bought a 12 pack and was going to do six on each side of the fan (3 rows of two), but a wondering if that will be overkill. The lights do have a remote control and they are dimmable, so the brightness can be toned down if it’s too much. Here is is a picture of the patio. The ceiling fan brace has been replaced, this picture was from a couple weeks ago. Just trying to figure out how many I should do before I start running the wiring.

    Droppin a duece?

Also, I’ve never understood the reason people caulk their toilets. I’d rather see the leak than have it contained in there and slowly rot through the floor.

Caulk stops potential gasses from escaping, looks nicer, shores up gaps. And it'll usually separate with moisture. Case in-point, let's zoom in on that pic, clearly I've got a failed wax ring.I only caulk the front U-circle, leave the back open. :

Interesting, I decided to Google whether it's code in my area. Other results made it look like it was, but it appears International Plumbing Code requires it too.
