What's up guys, I have been looking into maybe supercharging my 2012 Toyota Tundra Crewmax 5.7L V8 and was wondering if anywhere still sells the TRD supercharger kit, I know the magnum supercharger kit is available but I love the TRD setup and just to go with it more. If anyone knows anybody I can contact or where I may be able to get one let me know!

I did this a few months ago. Found a gently used headunit on Craigslist and a new fit kit on eBay. Worked out great. I have about 5k in it. It is night and day. I picked up a legit 2.5 mpg also. Offset my 37s and gears nicely. No regrets here.

I'd go magnuson as it is the same as the TRD.
Most people selling a TRD think they are worth a lot more than they really are.

I bought mine from Findlay Toyota in Henderson Nevada.
I couldn't be happier. I had them do the Install cause I'm not good at Mechanical stuff.
I don't trust Websites for something so Expensive & that could hurt my Engine if Not done correctly.

Is this true, and does it still not void warranty as the TRD SC?

I would only Trust the Toyota Dealer to answer this question and even if they did I would get it in Writing !!!

The Toyota TRD SC program is over so it won't make much difference whether you have the dealer install the used Magnuson made TRD or the new Magnuson. Not sure about warranty being covered anymore on dealer installs. Definitely check with more than one dealer.

Magnuson is the manufacturer that made the TRD Supercharger good for 504 Hp and 550 ft/lb of torque. Toyota backed away from the supercharger secondary to warrantee claims related to to much torque. What many were doing was changing the size of the pullys with aftermarket ones in some instances drastically increased the amount of boost thus increasing hp and torque leading to Grenaded transmissions that were rated for 550ft/lb of torque. Magnuson still offers the same supercharger with an increase in hp (550) and the same torque (550). Best of all they offer a warrantee with the purchase of the supercharger. The supercharger with the install kit (mandatory) is best purchased on e bay for $6995 and no shipping cost. Installation will set you back $800-1200. You’ll have to run premium gas to avoid predetonation. 0-60 times will drop into the 4 second range. To appreciate the full Benefit of the supercharger you’ll have to learn how to over ride the computer which can be done only from a standstill in a few seconds. Some of the guys were running smaller pullies and air coolers making well over 700 hp. The best 1/4 mile was in the 11’s. Mine ran in the 12’s safely.
