My ‘22 was not issue free. I did enjoy it but the list of concerns grew and the engine concern was the final straw.
    Dead gas pedal
    Loose rear window trim
    Squeaking brakes
    Wind noise
    Passenger side speaker rattle
    Lurching from R to D
    Bubbles on lower bed paint
    Gas line leak recall
    Tailgate handle paint wear
    Poor remote range
    Fuel gauge malfunction
    And the engine might blow.
Now in a GMC, the service department has been amazing with the recall that it had. Very pleased with the GMC fit and finish.

It's not the vehicle assembly I'm concerned with, although that could concern fit and finish or something like that, it's the engines I'm thinking of. Apparently the problems were from an Alabama plant.

Edit: From ChatGPT: Within the U.S., Toyota's primary engine production facilities are located in Huntsville, Alabama, and Georgetown, Kentucky. These plants focus on producing engines for a variety of Toyota models, with Huntsville being a major hub for V6 and V8 engines, and Georgetown supporting powertrains for hybrid and standard gasoline models.

Blocks are cast in Jackson, TN at TMMTN.
Heads are cast in Troy, MO at TMMMO.
All final machining and assembly is done in Huntsville, AL at TMMAL.

In regards to TMMTX, there are 21 suppliers that are on site and produce parts within that land area.

I had an 2023 GMC AT4 plagued with DEF issues, parts not readily available the truck set for 6 weeks plus. Dealer helped me by trading it in for a 2024 GMC AT4X. A beautiful truck however, at 1500 miles rear main seal leaking tore down and repaired after a short wait for parts after being misdiagnosed by another dealer. Blah blah blah GMc’s and Chevrolet's are not perfect by any means 14,000 miles on my 2024 Tundra so far so good.
