2024 70SR. I love this thing. It will annoy you if you are trying to do hurricane cleanup, but it is perfect for the homestead and the 1500 truck.

What a wild couple of weeks.

Christmas is getting closer on the inside to being done to include the fake presents for little mans photo shoot. Should be interesting. We decided to skip presents for each other this year and bought a nice tree instead. It will be our first Christmas in our new home, let alone with our baby.

to the gutter company finally coming on site and finishing this job that has been scheduled for months. Love small town living, but it is growing so fast labor cannot keep up.

They ordered the wrong downspouts and said they would come back to put brown ones on, but we decided to go with white since once day we are going to white metal or hardiboard siding.

So for now, happy the deck will stop taking the beating it was.

Plus your local taxes/prep and all that. What sold me on it out the door was they have a strong national presence for support, built in battery tender, long control cable and stout compared to the others I looked at. I added the Amazon tarp system, saving hundreds.

A little extra custom work today. Stenciled out a couple logos for a law firm in their community warehouse. These are 15 ft high. A future one is going on the floor.

I swear I’ve seen that logo on something else before… like, distinctly remember it, very clearly. But drawing a blank on where (age, probably).

Like Fidelity, the finance company? Or a cybersecurity company/technology oriented. It’s something that I’ve worked with directly in my career, or done a deep dive/contract with. Seriously kicking my ass. Definitely seen it before. Don’t think it’s music related, but possibly something I’ve seen on one of the DnB records in my vinyl stash.

My quick reverse image search came up with these two... :notsure: I don't know either these or the law firm

Well I’m curious as hell now. I knew I had seen it before. But I didn’t tie it to this law firm, which is a huge law firm here.

Had one hell of a week this week when it comes to house work. Got halfway to CA from CO and the dog sitter called and said that the basement had flooded. Turns out that I didn’t shut off my sprinkler feed and the manifold blew apart outside and flooded inside. 100% bonehead mistake but lesson learned. Anyways, we turned around drive home, ripped apart the basement, then hit the road and am now in CA with the fam for thanksgiving. Thankfully one of my buddies (also in construction) is looking after the place and monitoring the dehumidifier. Pics are in chronological order.

I’m confident we got out in front of any lasting water damage, but man that was a pain.

Oh man, I’m so sorry to hear this. What a nightmare. You got out in front of it though, that’s good. I want to solder in a shutoff valve for our fridge, in the basement ceiling area under our first floor fridge.

thanks guys! After this I can’t recommend shut off valves enough. We didn’t let it ruin the trip and we’re back on track now. I wasn’t planning on redoing the basement any time soon, but not that’s changed lol. Oh well, it happens.

Once the deck has been dealt you just have to find the best of it and move on. Good on you for finding the silver lining. Have a great trip and enjoy your holiday with the fam.

It's not much to take a pic of but the light under the microwave died. Button no longer responding. $2 toggle switch beats $400 microwave

At least you caught it at the right time. I’m so paranoid of this happening, I shut the water main valve off when I leave for any vacation.

I keep toying with installing one of these on my main and it would give me an easy WiFi ability to tun off for vacations as well as an added auto shut off in case of a water leak

I bought one a year and a half ago from Lowe's. Only way I could get one. The Pasco store had 5, but no one else did and they would not ship it. Had my kid who lives past tri-cities pick it up for me from the locker and he brought it to Spokane his next trip up this way.

Overall, I feel safer with the device. You'll go through a little "training" for a couple weeks, as it learns your usage habits. Occasionally we'll get a small drip alert, but I haven't found one, and I do have a triple filter reverse osmosis setup on the kitchen sink that we use daily. I've read these can sometime cause a false positive for a small drip.

And then theirs the high pressure warnings, I get several weekly. We live in an irrigation district, and the nearest water tower is 2 blocks away. I often see Flo reading my water pressure as 150psi, but usually it's 84 to 85-ish. I bought a pressure regulator but to install it means I have to cut a bunch of pex and I just haven't got around to it. Besides, my friend has my crimping tool for a project he's doing.

I'm beginning to see commercials on TV for these units. I believe they may have been more popular in Canada prior to when I purchased mine, which could explain why they were so scare around these parts.
