    Hello Everyone,

I need some advice on what to buy to match the Bilstein B8 6112's and B8 UCA's I bought to get a 2.5" front lift. The most common/obvious option I have found is Bilstein 5100's for a 1" lift in the rear, but I don't know what to buy to actually lift the rear that 1". Or will 1" be enough? Should I go for 2"?

I don't want much rake, but I also don't want any sag/squat whatsoever in the rear (I equate that with low/saggy pants for some reason). I was hoping Bilstein made something to go along with the 5100's - like an add a leaf - but I don't think they do. I'd like to avoid shackles or spacers.

My reason for spending 1500$ on parts for a 2.5" front lift is to improve overall longevity and minimize any peripheral damage/wear on the truck caused by the lift. I'd like to do the same (hopefully not overspend, though) for the rear.

PS - The truck is a pavement princess. Most it might do is navigate a bumpy trail or climb a curb. I will use a trailer periodically, but it won't have more than a few hundred pounds on it worst case.

5160s? The rears won’t provide any lift unless if you swap out your shackles.

Do you have a rear sway bar? If not, pick up RAS (road master active suspension) it will give you anywhere from .75" to about 1.5" of rear lift depending how you adjust them. Limits sway while also reducing squat when loaded.

I look at the RAS site and they don't have 21 Tundra as an option.

It fits. All 2.5 gen tundras run the same suspension. There is no difference between a 2020 and a 2021 Tundra, they just haven't physically tested it so they stopped at 20 (for their listing). A lot of sites show Tundra compatibility for products up to like 2019 but it will still fit.

You don't want to do shackles, you don't want to do spacers, you don't want to do RAS. Seems like you know the answer, you need to leaf springs. The rear shock doesn't raise the truck.

Thanks for the advice. If that's it, then that's it. Damn. Do new leaf springs for 1-2" of lift necessarily have to make the ride stiffer?

The springs give 1.5" lift, and the 5100's come in either 1" or 2" lift compatible. Does the half inch discrepancy between the two below matter? Which one is best for longevity first and ride second?

You don’t need to dish out for a new set of leafs if it isn’t necessary. Shackles and a new set of rear shocks can provide lift with OE leafs.

You can look into CB shackles that provide .625, 1.25, or 1.75 inches of lift.

I’m running 5100s on the rears with a 3/4 shackle from Total Chaos fab.
