I will say that he's not the first one to mention about all 24 having issues. There are supposedly credible sources saying that all 22, 23 and 24 will be included in the engine recall. As for a galley plug requiring a total engine sound weird.

Those plus are pressed in like a freeze plug, sealed with loctite. So if they are replacing engine, then the hole the plug goes in May have been machined slightly oversized.

Well, hate to say it but i was one of those guys. 24 Limited. Bought the truck, drove it home 400 miles and it was leaking oil from what we though was the rear main seal. So dealer replaced rear main seal and it still leaked oil from weep hole between engine case and tranny. Apparently a "freeze plug" was leaking oil. Got corporate involved and they were on top of it! I will say for what it was they had me in and out within a few weeks. They put a new short block and 4000 miles later shes doing fine. No issues. I was worried at first about everything but havent had an issue since. Was i mad? ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS!! But now that i look back at it they gave me a rental Tundra to use, and had a short block ordered and replaced with in 3 weeks total time. So they took care of me, cant complaint there.....

I also have a 24 with 15,000 miles truck has been flawless. Haven’t received any recalls or nothing on it yet.

If that's the case then make a slightly oversized plug. I cant believe we have gotten to the point of replacing an entire engine over a plug. The Netflix documentary "Buy Now The Shopping Conspiracy" sheds light on today's products and is on point with what most consumers do.
