Today I got motivated by reading posts on here, jacked her up again, removed passenger front wheel, and tried to get the tie rod nut back on using a jack under the tie rod.

It worked so-so. It went from 3 washers and a cotter pin to 2 washers and the nut (no cotter pin).

I feel better about it now.....will go to the shop (hopefully) within 2 weeks.

Mine was like that. I just pulled it all off with an eraser wheel.

I ended up ordering these, actually I ordered their whole HD kit. It didn’t seem to save money to order everything separately, press bushings and add risk/labor. It should be here in a week I’ll let you know how it goes.

    My last worries are….
    *Brakeline extensions or relocation?
*Shim to align driveline axle after lift?

I'd get front and rear extended stainless steel braided brake lines and a BPV bracket. Lots of places have em on sale right now. I got mine from Wheeler's Offroad years ago, and they are still going strong.
I guess I've been lucky, I've lifted or lowered almost every truck I've owned and I've never needed shims.

LSPV relocation bracket, yes. I can link a few kits if you can’t fab something up. Brake lines were unnecessary for me. Shim also unnecessary, no radical pinion angle shift from lifting or lowering that little (for me, at least)

Oof... I didn't realize he was asking about the BPV bracket.
I revise my reply to include BPV bracket and extended ss braided brake lines

I’ll need to dig up my receipt from when I bought my first OEM one in 2003. I think it was like $1.27 or something. Definitely under $2.50.

I've been threatening to move to SS braided extended brake lines front and rear. Necessity isn't there at my current state, but I'd feel better with them.

Here ya go. It's not very extensive- just goes through trim levels and common issues.

Washed my truck and applied some Griots 3-in-1. Adjusted the headlights and ordered a new ballast. Tired of it taking 2-4 attempts for my driver side headlight to come on.

    Grabbed this crappy picture.

New LSD and used Sequoia 4.10's. truck feels good... Got it inspected, now to install the Quantum ECU. Or maybe I should go to bed. I gotta work tonight. Maybe I'll do a 0-60mph pull with just the gears before installing the ECU.

    upload_2024-11-26_12-20-19.jpg

It's funny this truck now reads high while the other truck reads low.

It looks like a Tacoma/Tundra mix. The cloudy headlights track though.

It was less the truck, more the comically long gun barrel, with fire coming out where you'd expect a normal barrel to end...and how the guy's holding it. I mean I'm not going to pretend every militia bro out there is a highly trained soldier, but I'd expect they at least know how to hold a gun from watching all the war-movie-porn they fantasize about.

Are OEM drums still the way to go? Even with the discount right now, they are $130/side.

Unfortunately, the new stove has roaches. I didn't expect that from a climate controlled storage building (not mamaws house)

Any ideas on how to remove them? This stove is outside now, and needs a good clean. Our old, roach free, coil top is still in service. I'd like to clean the flat top if possible
