@Leo's first the one you found has an Intel chip in it, I didn't know they did that. Interesting

@Leo's first my advice is go for the MacBook, the newer M3 Airs are nice. My thought is that she’s telling you what she wants, I wish my wife would do that!

There was about 5-6 years it seems that they were running on Intel processors. When they released the M1 series they moved back to ARM-based Apple-designed silicon.
You lost the ability to dual boot windows/mac when they did that (though I would argue that using parallels as a windows VM is actually a better experience)

It’s an ok price for an ok MBP. I would look for something with Apple silicon (M1 or better). The Intel Macs with 8GB of RAM are laggy with the newer OS, and within a couple of years will be unable to support the newer OS altogether.

Based on the size and features of this MBP, you should be able to find a M1 equipped MacBook Air for about the same price.

Apple’s website will also sell refurbished MacBooks that provide eligibility for +AppleCare. I have been able to find Macs on eBay that still have AppleCare, which means it can be renewed. Huge benefit if unexpected damage occurs.

What is your wife’s intended use?

Got up- hit HD (for the one millionth time) and avoided the Milwaukee aisle.
Picked up a new motion sensor switch - $40
    Knockdown texture - $28
    Sanding sponge - $3?
A box of my favorite drywall anchors - ??

    $80 later.
    Put new sensor switch in
Finished the small area of texture from when I had to hang new shelves in the bathroom. Once it dries, I’ll add touch-up paint over it and I’m freaking done with other bathroom.

I have to install, and setup my daughter’s new desk with a built in vanity mirror, outlets in her desk etc.

I still need to organize shit into the packouts that have been sitting in my garage. Been a busy ass weekend

I'll take it. Because often times I'm still acting like it.

Play all day and it keeps the age statement away.

Old setup, I did a turkey a few times. Kind of a PITA in a small Egg. :(

trying a pellet smoker this year, sold the old egg. The Egg was nice for cold weather though
