Tundra engine recall - interesting news

I'm indifferent to Winchester44 getting banned but he did it to himself. The mods here are pretty fair.

It's been tried many a time before, they usually find out. IIRC, they can ID you by IP and a rough physical location.

You can't put a price on this kind of power. But, a Miller Lite or two usually covers the compensation

Dealer in Asheville had two zombies waiting for motors which doesn't strike me as that many. Service guys were trained. There isn't a lot of gnashing of teeth with them.
Much lower heat than the Ford dealer who is perpetually waiting for electronic modules.

 

They’re probably already pto until the new year. And then they have to worry about toyotathon. Engine recall is second fiddle. My guess is no news till March at the earliest.

I had an engine go out at 45K and was replaced with a short block. My dealer says I would NOT be eligible for a long block replacement. Is there any official Toyota notification saying short block replacements will be changed out with long blocks?

 

Are you included in the recall?
