    Hi,
I just talked to a Toyota dealer hoping to order a TRD pro grill, they told me that Toyota does not make the grill trimmed in Chrome but that you can unscrew the "Toyota" insert and put it into a all chrome grill. Does anyone know if that is accurate?

yes the surround and center section easily come apart and are interchangeable with other grilles.

There are threads on here that address removing the grille surround. I believe there are a couple of screws but mostly just plastic clips and most people seem to break one or 2. Part of the reason I bought the Pro grille was for the color match surround. I thought about removing the chrome surround on my Tacoma and painting it but all I did was think about it.

A little of this and a little of that.
Mike welcome to the family from Las Vegas.

We want to see pics of your truck brother.

I would order some extra clips for the grille insert before you try removing it as you’ll more than likely break some clips. Good luck

lay the whole assembly flat on a soft blanket etc. start in one corner with a very small flat screwdriver or trim tool. you have to finesse each clip and not pry hard loosen one a little and move to the next you will need to loosen a couple before it starts to come apart otherwise you will break clips.

New to site as well. I am also looking for a TRD Pro grille. I have an SR trim with chrome surround. I want to keep the same as k9shag's grille as I like the chrome surround. I will welcome any suggestions for ordering. Thanks.

Any Toyota part needed Roman can get is listed here with instructions. Of course, you can always send a PM to him too...I should have said these are the most popular parts requested. He has also helped me get some other Toyota parts that I needed due to my modding efforts...

You can do it!!! Just take your time.. once you get a couple clips loose and get the hang of it you will be fine.
