I hate Toyota for their app and pay-to-play BS on the remote start. I refused to give them more money for a feature that should be standard. Therefore, I bought the Accessorides RS based on Eddie's word. I didn't get the phone app, rather the two 1500' fobs (1 way) and it also allows the OEM fob to start. This thing is the real deal. I don't use the OEM fob because it has about 13' of range just like the factory pos. I haven't tested the range on the aftermarket fobs, but I know when I auto-start at work, it's about 700 feet to my truck.

I've had it 3 weeks and zero problems thus far. I can't swear to this, but I'm pretty sure there's no time limit. I guess I can test it the future. That said, I've yet to get to my truck at work or home to find the truck was turned off. Also, the truck doesn't shut down when you open the door. The install wasn't difficult at all considering 90% was plug-and-play aside from cutting the wire, which I'm sure makes us all nervous. The antenna just runs from the dash, up the pillar, in the headliner and double-sided taped next to the mirror mount. Like Eddie said, the programming was a breeze and the truck fired right up on the first attempt. I wanted to make a video for future buyers and people like me, but I suck at that kind of tech.

As an aside, I deleted the Toyota app, erased my profile from the truck and use car play for my phone. I don't know about everyone else, but i would receive at least 10-15 emails a week from Toyota, my dealer and Carfax about all sorts of crap. Since deleting everything three weeks ago, I've been getting XM as a "Guest." Wonder how long I can ride this wave?

LOL. When i saw Best Buy in the link it reminds me when I had them install one in a 2001 Chevy I had. Range totally sucked when I picked it up. When I asked where they ran the antenna they said "up the A pillar because there's no metal there to interfere with the antenna". I just about fell over backwards..... I don't recall where they moved it to but it did end up working pretty well.

Luckily the installer at my local Best Buy has been there for 20 years and does top notch work. I know what you mean though... lol

Buddy , did I understand you correctly? After you remotely start the engine, your truck continues to run for a long time.? Because from the factory it is programmed to stall after 10 minutes. I am looking for such a thing that will make the truck run until I leave the house, sometimes 30-40 minutes) (Sorry, my English is not very good yet, I use Google translator)

28* this morning. Auto-started and set a timer. The truck turned off after 15 minutes.

I wrote to ACCESSORIDES, how long will the truck continue to work after starting? Here is their response:
