I have been replacing my timing belt and also getting some of the youngsters interested in auto repair. Unfortunately there were too many moving parts and people during disassembly of the power steering / alternator side of things and a bracket plunked to the ground. On reassembly it has me stumped and I was hoping the collective here would know where it went. It has '513' cast onto one side.

    Here it is:

Any ideas? I have been playing Tetris with it for the last half hour and am pretty stumped.

Do you know where, by chance? The A/C compressor mounts are smaller bolts than the holes on that bracket.

That would be weird - it fell on the passenger side.

I stand corrected - that is precisely where it went! It must have been kicked over to the passenger side by any one of several hands or feet.

    Thanks!

You're welcome. It would be just about impossible to find out where that bracket's home is unless you paid attention to how it was removed. Most everyone would figure it out that it bolts somewhere to the front of the engine block, but from there it would definitely be a jigsaw puzzle.
