I have no idea about which years came with clips, but i was just over at the https://www.weathertech.com/toyota/2004/tundra/floorliner-digitalfit/ website last week, and when you scroll through the options for their front floor liners, you could choose between single floor hook, single floor hook hole, or no hook or hole on their drop down screen. I just assumed that depending upon which interior trim package was the deciding factor?

How often do you do that? I think I've only ever done it when I first buy a used truck. I carefully pour 1/4 the bottle into the upper intake manifold thru the vacuum lines, then a quarter in the crank case and then half in the tank.
It might be time again for my 06.
The 03 just got new injectors like a year ago. I think I cleaned both their mafs and throttle plates about a year ago too.

Couple times a year? I wait until the truck is down to 1/8 tank though - And that rarely ever happens - so I can really blast the injectors for 40-50 miles before filling up and diluting the stuff back down.

Usually once a year I'll add some HEET also. Probably unnecessary, but given the gas has ethanol in it, I do it anyway.

I usually add seafoam to the gas tank a couple times a year before a camping trip if i think about it ahead of time. And ill usually pour some a 100 miles or so before an oil change in the crankcase

Definitely lots of varying beliefs on whether it works or not but ive seen it recommended enough that I use it. Cant hurt i guess. I think project farm might have even done a video on it but not sure.

I would be worried that it would dry the cylinder walls and cause undue wear on the pistons, rings and cylinders.

I installed 4 new Hitachi oxygen sensors and a new Hitachi MAF sensor on my 2006, then used a resistor across the disconnected battery positive terminal and ground to "relearn" the ECU. Runs without any check engine light so far. The MAF and 3 of the O2 sensors had 274K miles on them and I had been getting 15 MPG average. Hopefully this will improve a little.
I had drowned the O2 sensors in P Blaster the night before and no problems with threads at all. The only thing difficult was getting those cussed primary O2 sensor wire connections apart and clicked back together without damaging them. I put dielectric grease in them going back together.

It's a really common method to apply it to the top-end, one that Seafoam explicitly tells customers to never do. A LOT of people I know would slowly suck it up or pour in at a vacuum line, and at some point, slurp up a larger amount and force the engine to die, then hotsoak for 10-20 min, and start it back up. But Seafoam sells a bendy straw contracption that makes it easier, just slide the bendy straw into the throttle body and slip the intake tube ovre it to hold it in place. Prop your gas pedal at 2500-3000rpm (whatever the can calls for), hook the tube up to the can, and start spraying until it's empty. It's pretty convenient.

Back in the late 70's we used to spray carburetor cleaner in carbs with the engine running to clean up the choke body, throttle body and shafts. It usually took a whole can to clean a carb. One day the boss in the shop where I was working came back from a school and said that was a no-no and forbade us from ever doing it again. He didn't say why but I always assumed it was the rings.
I cleaned the throttle body on my 2006 Tundra while I had the manifold off, and the manifold was slanted downhill in front to keep the gunk out of the manifold.
I have been told by a couple mechanics that SeaFoam is not the same as it used to be and that it wan't worth squat for anything. I don't know what to believe.

Wrapped all the door catches in electrical tape as a test, and, sure enough, a significant amount of door creaking is gone and more-solid engagement of the latches when shutting. Another item added to my to-do list.

They make an aerosol kit for doing it thru the throttle body that is probably less sketchy. But 13 years ago or so, they didn't have that option, when I first started using the liquid ones. I learned the technique thru the vacuum line from Tacoma World. Not sure of any adverse effects. Seems to work pretty well. But I've also heard some grumbles from random people about doing it that way.

I would think it’s stock UCA also with stock wheels, because I just paid for these fancy ones makes me not want to test it.

shoot, didn’t think of that. I’ve got skinny 255’s to avoid that but the stock backspacing to the UCA is just too tight to fit the thick chains I have.

I would definitely hit frame at full lock with front chains on, that would make turning around in deep snow on narrow forest service roads a tricky business. I will look into some safer options to test out, but the type of driving I’m doing that requires front chains in addition to the back means that I’m not going much faster than 10mph and always listening for problems.

anybody running the Nokian LT3? What size? Trying to pick between that and their suv tires for winter. These Toyo M/T E load are great in powder off road but feel like I would slide right off on hwy ice

Yeah MTS without siping are way different than those Hakkepiliittas that do seem to have a reputation for being a good ice tire. IIRC in addition to massive siping also use compound that stays soft in cold but also means likely not last long like ATs, and not much lug for other conditions so RU swapping it on just for winter? Previously found for allyear round a nicely siped AT like Toyo TA2 or now running the DT Pathfinder AT has enough siping with careful driving skill and 4WD to be sufficient to make it up and down the snowy icy mountain roads each weekend up to a foot or more of snow and also packed snow/ice after thaw / freeze. In past have added siping if really wanted more traction but don't anymore. Think there's other good tires out there too like the AT3s

Would siping help say an AT or MT on wet pavement?

Likely siping would help but the MTs are usually lugged way different than say an AT with so many biting surfaces. Here's a worn Toyo AT2 and new DT Pathfinder AT. Note the sharp angles and the siping (little slits) built in. Can see this in most tires with the snowflake on them like AT3s and AT4s. The siping is like creating little gripping surfaces like ice skates on ice. As the tire contacts the ground and flexes a little the edge of the slit is like the ice skate blade....kinda. Check out all the siping on the Hakkepeliitas.

What about cable chains? Or would it be a bad idea to run in 4wd with real chains on the back and cable chains in the front?

It's something that I expect to very rarely if ever need, but...Mostly during hunting season I get into places that if an unexpected storm hit, I'd really want chains on all 4.

Do a little searching, someone was selling an OEM hook that they had extra (or maybe giving it away)? If not, they're cheap.

    Man it's like Xmas today.
333 Fab billet steering rack bracket came in and so did my tuned ECU.

Too bad the truck the ECU is for is still in the hospital. Fingers crossed I get her back by Friday.

I take it you’re not very good at pouring the can in directly if you need a funnel. You need to cut back on the caffeine or booze (or both).

I needed a funnel when I ran out of gas one time. Don't knock the funnel. That container has the long neck and does good if you stab it fast. Funnel prevents spills and mishaps.

    Weight reduction, mostly rust.
The Edge we were given has a funnel in by the spare for just such applications. Because of the fuel flap/trap door

I actually thought the funnel was smart because there is usually some leftover Seafoam that I can't get out of the can. Only way to get it all is to go vertical. I usually dump the last half ounce in my mower.

I’ve never spilled more than a few drops when pouring it into the tank myself. No funnel required.

I can’t comment on the gas container pours though.
