The leaf hangers are positioned right where the frame curves upwards. Moving the leaf hangers forward a foot would place it underneath the frame and would stick out like a sore thumb. Would pretty much defeat the purpose of shortening the wheelbase.

That's the way to go if you link it, with a 3-link the lower link mounts pretty much have to be below the frame, act as boat anchors, and as you alluded to above, "stick out like a sore thumb." The lower links mounts are the bane of my wheeling existence on the 4Runner and get hung up on everything, cant wait to ditch the stock tank and do a proper 4-link setup. The truck would be sooooo much more capable with the same amount of travel etc. as I currently have without the mounts hanging down low, especially on ledgy trails like most of the Moab stuff. Leaves the way you are setting them up currently are a better rock crawling setup than a 3-link IMO.

Someone needs to turn your transfer case into a kit available on the market.

All it takes is an adapter and a spud shaft. I think advance adapters sells them for the Tacoma, I'd love one for the Tundra. Crawl gears are the shit

That’s kinda what I want to do. Once it’s been made then it can be replicated.

I asked AA if I could pay for them to make me one; they didn’t want to waste their time because of the very low demand.

I sent my specs to a guy to make me the spud shaft. He’s not in a hurry to make it and I’m not in a hurry to pay for it :spending:

Very understandable, I don't image it would be flying off the shelves like the rest of their products.

I could see this turning into an overlanding thing. Tundras are popular in this scene. Add to it the problems with the actuators the factory transfer case has. Id pay for an atlas aftermarket before id pay the coin toyota is asking for their parts.

We will have to watch prices though, a friend that works parts explained many toyota prices are seeing sharp drops in cost.

The problem I'm not looking forward to is that when you disconnect the OEM TC, you'll get the blinking 4HI/LO. I'll have to figure out how to trick it. Could always just put a piece of tape over it and call it done

How many people would it take for them to make a run? I would definitely want to be on that list!

Had the same issue, you need to do some depinning of wires in the ECU, here is the post relevant to what I did. You would need the wiring diagram and figure out which wires to pull on the Tundra.

I've been in Rwanda for the past month, for work, and just got back yesterday. Jet lag is gonna mess me up again. But to answer your question...nope. Been busy with work.

Work has a couple facilities out there that I had to deploy networking equipment for.

Got to do a safari. A lot of the safari vehicles are stretched out old LandCruisers.
