    Working on it
Good evening guys. Pretty new to the Tundra scene, but have had several other Toyota products in the past. I recently had the white screen of death in my 14' Platinum. Replaced the screen with a used one from a 16' 1794. Everything worked great. but the touch screen from the used unit only worked in a few spots in the middle. I removed the touch screen from my previous unit that was OE to the truck. Re-installed the 16' head unit and now the Bluetooth is dead. I have tired the initialize several times to no avail. Did the Bluetooth module die after I installed the screen? Also to note, the used unit from the 1794 did not come with a Bluetooth module (I think, not too sure but the lower part that attaches to the bracket with the brown and white connectors that just cross over from the lower unit to the head-unit. Not actually apart of the wiring harness of the truck). It is stuck on the "Bluetooth is initializing, please try again soon." Some screens such as the nav screen and the maintenance screen have the phone with the line through it, but every other screen is like the phone was connected. Like stated above, I have tried the initialize the head unit several times already with no luck, tried resetting the head unit. Nothing has worked so far. Has anyone run into this issue? Next step is to swap the non working screen back onto the unit and see if it works but would that cause the Bluetooth not to work? R/R was just two ribbon cables, cant mix them up. Thanks ladies and gentelmen.

I'm also looking at the dasaita unit, read some good and bad reviews on Amazon and YouTube. From what I've seen is you either get a good unit or a dud that you can send back and have replaced. Been holding out to see if it'll go on sale for black Friday. Says it's on sale now but it's been that price for the 4 months I've been looking at it.
