If Jake Paul wanted a real fight there are plenty of active pro boxers whom he could have chosen from. He picked a 58 year old retired fighter, albeit an all time great, for an entertainment show and not a real fight.

I don't want to be a wet blanket to everyone's excitement so I will drop this and just follow along the conversation on this one.

Tyson could show up straight up obese and people would watch. He is part of our cultural zeitgeist. It's easy money for both of those guys and I don't fault them for cashing in if people are shoveling money at them...

It’s cool to see Tyson at least tying to write the end of his own story, himself, on his own terms. No media talk, thank you for the money, let’s do this. He knows the fighters before him that ended up homeless or destitute in wheelchairs.

 

I have never been rich or famous but I'm perplexed at how some of these guys end up broke. Not all of them but I expect someone like Tyson to surrounded himself with better people after getting fleeced by the likes of Don King. I hope for his sake he isn't broke again now.

 

Tyson wasn’t born a killer, but he became like one to survive and thrive. I don’t think Paul’s childhood piers called him little fairy boy.
