That’s what I thought. There is room. I’ll find out tomorrow how much room when I go up the mountain to hunt. I’ll check it out then for rub marks or dents. I’m thinking/ hoping it’ll be ok.
Update: After driving on a mountain dirt road with dips and bumps, there is no scratch or dents on the shocks.

My Dad had a ‘76 fj40 forest green that he bought brand new off the lot, first car I ever remember riding in. The side facing rear seats with only a lap belt and my feet didn’t even touch the ground. Those were the days!

Went to step out of the bed and my foot slipped. I landed flat on my heel and broke 2 bones in my foot, fractured my ankle, and tore a ligament in my calf.
With that being said, how do you overland guys get in out of the truck without bustin ya ass?

Fluid filmed the bottom of the truck, MI winter is coming. I absolutely love knowing my truck stays pristine, despite these harsh winters. I may try wool wax next yr for a better smelling product though. Lol

I originally made this as an anchor point for the rear of the camper, think I could adapt it to be a step? I'm open to ideas, cuz I'm a special kinda stupid.

I'm also thinking about welding tabs to the tailgate to attach a ladder onto, kinda like a swim platform on a boat.

Completed the coolant drain and fill. The 2 block drains were pita. I also did the bumper extension mod with Lowe’s hex nuts. It was fairly easy to do with no help. I did not have to detach the fender liner or remove the skid plate.

Earlier last week I had a shop did my BMC to get ready for bigger tires and kings 2.5

Picked up a slightly used victory4x4 roof rack off marketplace for $300. Cleaned it and added two coats of spray paint. New hardware comes in tomorrow. Can’t wait to get it installed.

Happy for you. Those fender liners are a pain. Even after you figure out how to remove the clips, half of those bastards don't like coming out

Any tutorial or instructions you used for bumper spacers? Id like to space mine for some lower offset wheels. Ive held off as I will be doing it alone and the write ups ive found were all full bumper removal, which I am not sure I can manage without another set of hands.

Don’t need to remove bumper. I installed 1/2” CB bumper shims solo. Just loosen both sides and shim out one side at a time.

Finally finished this Wilco Spare Tire Mount project, after buying the mount, getting the license plate relocation kit, with light, and getting it all hooked up, I added the last piece. Tire cover:
