I'm installing 6112s and putting 34" tires on the truck and want to fit a full size spare underneath the truck if possible. I have dual exhaust and when I measure inside edge to inside edge of the tailpipes I show 31.5". Is there some magic wand I can wave to figure out how to make a 34" fit under there between the exhaust?

I chopped my dual exhaust off right past the rear axle. Literally cut it off. Mine was the flow master cat back but sounds better, MPG went up by .4 for whatever reason, opened up all of that space for spare after bending out the guides a little. ZERO regrets, it was an easy win.

@nemotheangler any chance you could send a pic of what you did. I was wondering about chopping it off and any negative effects

If you want a single negative to cutting exhaust under a vehicle: Exhaust is more
corrosive than road salt. I’d never chop exhaust to exit under my truck.
I always make sure it clears as much as possible. Not as important depending on where you live, but if you are idling in wet winter conditions it’s a big deal.

The TRD dual exhaust tailpipes clear larger tires pretty well. I have a 275/70r18 spare under there right now that still has room to spare - no pun intended. People sell the tailpipes often on FB marketplace which could be adapted to your setup.

My current setup. To make matters more entertaining the exhaust hanger on the right is broken so it's sagging some. If I just chop it off at the axle and let it shoot downward will I be fine? I've got to figure something out and my wife is already not thrilled that I dropped $700 for the shocks. The current tire is a 285/55/20 that is completely flat.

Chop it bro. I ain't dumb and I am not lying. There are tundra specific exhausts that do exactly this. New Subarus, same deal. Corrosion guy is exaggerating. Haven't screwed around enough on this forum to learn add pics. PM me for text pics.

I don't know about that ... all that exhaust condensation hanging around underneath the truck can't be good for it?

I did fit a 34.4” in the spare area when running the stock single tailpipe. But when I switched to dual exhausts couldn’t get the tire to fit so went with dumps and now have no issues with the spare. Corrosion so far hasn’t been visible but time will tell.

If your truck and exhaust are up to temp it doesn't condensate. If you drive five blocks 10 times a day in super humid weather, and idle at every light for 10 minutes, then maybe...

I have a lot of room for activities with my duals. Could definitely upsize from the 275/70 to a 35.

I actually have an extra pair of tailpipes that are freshly painted with high temp black paint to install. :D These rusty ones are starting to bother me.
