Remodeling some of the guest 1/2 bath.
if I secure this into the drywall with anchors, it secures it too much leaving the front end of the vanity not flush with the floor.
there are two studs- one i can drill into, and the other is way on the opposite side so i cannot. There were (I believe) toggles here before on the last sink.
TL;DR need it secured against the wall, with it touching the ground. If I secure it too much it’s maybe 1/4” or so off the ground, if that.

Flush on wall, but not secured enough for my liking
Maybe add some spacers to the drywall anchor?

Another option to secure it would be how the did big TVs.

High on the vanity secure a string/cord with an anchor poiny. Low in the wall anchor a screw that the string runs down to and around, then back up to the anchor on the vanity. Kinda like a simple serpentine belt, and then adjust tension to keep the vanity from tipping.

You’ll need to cut the baseboard, install it snug to the back. However, the top should also be level in every direction. To do that, you may need to shim the base, and then wrap it with shoe moulding, or caulking if it’s a small gap. That’s my suggestion.

Yuge Dewalt fan here. Previously Red. Black & yellow for the win. Love their XR goodies and 20/60V Flex batteries. XR Tough. I have that DCF impact and it's no joke. I'm finally getting ready to start building on my off grid property and ramping up all my tools to Dewalt and Klein.

    Yep.

I use a box knife with a level to make the initial cut, that'll give you a great guide.

As in to draw the cut line against it, you mean? Then I presume I can take the tool and remove the caulking, or just straight blade it on top?

It might be a little tough to cut your line on the baseboard with a box cutter, I missed that the molding is wavy.
    Just go for it! :sawzall:
I would use your knife on top for the caulking

Hell, I used a chisel and hammer in the old days for this stuff..
Draw the line with a ruler, cut the board by chiseling it down, and then pry it out...:eek2:
