I have the same and I've though about the same move (paint by hand). Any closeup shots you can share on how it turned out?

Even 18" with E rated rides significantly better. 20"s aren't for trucks imo!

And those wheels look great!

Statements like these make me very excited for the 17"s with E rated tires I am planning on putting on by end of year. These dang 20"s are brutal.

Got them through Toto Tire in CA - https://tototires.com/en-us/product...5x150mm-60-110-1mm-blk?variant=43860967456988

They comes with black center caps and lug nuts. But I went with my OEM chrome nuts and bought a set of second hand center caps from the TRD Off Road wheels. The center cap is not the same as the BBS wheels, but the same as the Off Road wheels.

    Pretty happy with the setup.

Finished building the platform for the camper to get it off the pallets and lower into the bed and got the camper loaded back up. It's even straight and centered this time If you have ever loaded one by yourself than you understand how big an accomplishment that is.

Did the annual Fluid Film application. Highly recommend. I see very similar results that this guy saw.

Yes, it is a mess but there is no rust.
This year I also pulled each bolt from the trans pan, added never seize and reinstalled. All of them came out very easily.

Here’s a pretty sweet picture of the truck, most off-roading I’ve done with it…gravel bar

Found out how absolutely useless the stock jack is. The flat tire lowered the truck enough that the jack doesn't fit under the control arm, so I lift by the frame right? WRONG!!! The jack maxed out before the suspension drooped enough to get the tire off the ground.

Gotta keep a couple blocks of wood onboard. I recently upgraded my bottle jack to the Daytona 12 ton from Harbor Freight..
    20241102_172408.jpg

Was looking for something that would fit in the same location but found that it fits perfect in my ESP storage bin which is even better in case it leaks..
    20241102_173056.jpg

Wait for a good sale on it.

I have always read people saying they don't trust a jack from Harbor Freight, I think that HF has really stepped up in the past few years, and I am not sure if that still applies.

The fact that you are worried about the jack leaking though, makes me think it still might? Does the stock one have an issue with leaking? The one time I've looked at mine it was fine, but I've never paid much attention to it.

I feel like I am missing a piece of the puzzle

Stock jack is mechanical, no fluid to leak out. I consider that a win, just wish it was taller.

that's the piece I am missing! Thank you.

Yeah that makes sense, its very strange they don't have the extra couple inches needed to lift the truck.

I do agree that HF has really stepped up in the past few years. Before I would just buy things from there like shop rags, gloves, one time use hand tools n such but lately I've been finding myself actually wanting to buy a few items from their Icon line up as well as their jacks and jack stands.

As far as this bottle jack, I'm not entirely concerned that it will leak. It's just one of those better safe then sorry instances where if by some random incident, it does leak, I'd rather it leak in the plastic bin vs. on the carpet or anywhere in the cab.

N yeah, as @Tundra family stated, stock one is mechanical

Oh, and here's a side by side comparison if them extended to the max.
    20241102_160354.jpg

They are just about the same but I wouldn't suggest maxing either one out under a full load. Better to use stacked blocks of wood under the jack instead.

A couple square pieces of 2x12 is a must have for recovery gear. Just like a shovel is, for when you don't have enough space.

I don't think it's possible to max out the stock jack under load. I was nowhere that high and it was just spinning without going any higher.

Finally got my RC sway bar links on. I have a 3.5 RC lift. The sway bar links are for a lift of 3.5” to 6” lifts. There's room between them and the shocks. Now I’m down to two more mods to get caught up.
