I'm a huge boxing fan and was a kid when Iron Mike was destroying the heavyweight division on his way to being the youngest heavyweight champ. I'm skipping this exhibition. Not a fan of pseudo-fights and blatant money grabs.

EVERY apt complex goes Sect 8 when the revenue drops.

On the topic of upcoming fights, I'm skipping UFC 309, Jon Jones ducking Tom Aspinall and generally holding up with the entire heavyweight division has made it less interesting compared to the other UFC divisions. All due respect for his prior accomplishments but Jones always felt like a bit of a paper champ of the heavyweight division as he never fought Ngonnau for the belt nor has he been active since getting the belt.

 

The neighbor behind me finally managed to find himself a girlfriend, and she brought two dogs. My dog is silently training them (dogs and owners). It might take a while

 

I prefer boxing 100x more than MMA but the problem with boxing, before the Saudi's started throwing their money around recently, is that you just don't get the matches fans want to see. A perfect example of a great fighter fighting boring fights and just cashing checks, Canelo Alvarez, last 3 fights Charlo, Mungia, Berlanga all generally boring fights. Where is Canelo vs Benavidez? This is where UFC does it better, at least outside of the Jon Jones heavyweight shit show.

I have no doubt Tyson can bring the heat. Just don't see it happening in a Jake Paul exhibition match.

Jake has actually put on some serious non-quality size trying to get his weight up... He's laboring pretty hard during his work outs. He may be much younger than Tyson, but I'd be more considered about Jake's heart than Mike's

 

Get out of the city. There are a lot of rural areas in our state that aren't as bad as the metro area. Or the state, which I know is what you want...

 

I honestly never followed Jake Paul's boxing. I don't like wasting time on Youtube/Social Media influencers.

 

I think the appeal both Netflix and Paul are capturing is the love a lot of us older guys have for Tyson. It is bringing out all the older boxing fans even if it an exhibition because we all want to see the iron mike of yesteryear beat up the influencers. It's the boomers/gen x mentality raging against all the new school mentality of millennials and younger gen's. I'm excited to watch it but will not be checking this thread or the internet at all on Friday evening. I'll be at work and hoping I can watch a rerun when I get home.
