Some of the property I have been looking at says “minimal HOA”. Not sure what that means, but if I stacked the board can the HOA be dissolved?

In WA, it’s pretty damn difficult. And the state keeps adding more bullshit that 1. Requires HOA for new subdivisions as well as 2. Adds more shit to the requirements the HOA must include (like incorporating as a non-profit, holding a certain amount of funds in reserve, reporting full address info on all board members).

I’ve been trying to dissolve our HOA for 15 years… can’t even get enough people to give a shit to vote.

I’m on 5 acres and still have one. Been here 19 years this month.
But we’re one of those HOA’s where the only thing we exist to do is maintain the ~1mile gravel private road that serves our properties. Outside of that, don’t piss off your neighbors, and if you do, the HOA isn’t going to do anything about it anyway…take that up with your neighbors yourself.

If I ever leave this place, it will be for minimum 20 acres with adjoining NF or BLM land and no shared private roads.

 

Just worth researching a little what the HOA laws are in that other state to be sure.

 

That's been my dream for a long time. Some acreage with fertile soil where I can plant some fruit trees, small private range out to 100ish yards, etc... Unfortunately health issues will keep me tethered to areas with more extensive medical care so it will be a dream I don't think I will ever realize barring winning a lottery jackpot.

Pretty much every man I know only goes to hot springs because their women do. It was an outdoor facility so not really a spa or hot tub but same difference. Hanging out in man made pools with strangers.

HOAs are formed in accordance with covenants, conditions and restrictions (CCRs) that are recorded on each lot within the subdivision. Under old common law they could not be terminated without every single lot agreeing. Many states have passed laws that permit alterations or elimination with a specified supermajority.

 

I like the new "blues" . Those black rims looks sharp with that color. Up until the last 10 years no manufacturer could seem to pull the color off. They used to paint everything powder blue or "baby blue" as people call it. It never looked right and it made rust very obvious.

 

HOAs are usually part of the CC&Rs for a subdivision; so it'll take a bit more than that... avoid if possible

If you watch(ed) the fight he had early on in this venture w/Floyd, you can see that Floyd was playing w/him and delivering 'glancing' blows instead of punches and jabs being delivered 'through' Jake; you can see them being delievered in a more circular fasion and much of the energy is bled off the punch...
