I think I've reached the end of the internet and (other than cutting a hole in my truck - not for me) these appear to be the most popular Cold Air Intake (CAI) systems for the Generation (Gen) 2 - 2.5 (2007-2021) Toyota Tundra 5.7L Naturally Aspirated (NA) trucks. Understood the Toyota Tundra TRD CAI system, while amazing cosmetically isn't the best performer.

Current Truck: 2017 NA gas (non-flex fuel) 5.7L Toyota Tundra SR5 4x4 Crew Max.

The only modification other than the rear sway bar, is a Dirty Deeds BAM Muffler (10") - AMAZING.

Goal: Maximum torque at low RPM, and the best MPG I can given the constraints of a giant, heavy, reliable, non-aerodynamic vehicle.

Note 1: Not worried about Return On Investment (ROI) on the CAI. It's going to be a gift (if it makes sense). Wife knows I love the truck and looking to "church" it up with some red, which is Dad's favorite color. However, if it's a total waste of money, or reduce reliability with ZERO benefit, then I'll waive off.

Note 2: I'll be setting up a tune with OTT here in town to make sure I'm getting the most out of this setup (if it makes sense / is beneficial) based on what I've read to avoid the computer removing any gains I make/receive in the "light/Lite" setting.

    Sooooooo......

Question: Momentum GT Red Edition Cold Air Intake System with Pro DRY S Filter [51-76003-R] or the Stillen TruPower Cold Air Intake [Dry] TP403203 for the best low RPM / Torque under daily driving and MPG based on the above? From the video (by Stillen) it looks like that's the better product, but....it's by Stillen. I haven't seen a 3rd party comparison of both independent of either company.

If there's something I'm missing, need corrected on, or should consider, please let me know. If this is a total waste of money/time that's also valuable.

    Thank You,

    Jay!

Also to add, my truck was less than a year old to me and I too was not comfortable with drilling a large hole in the fender for the SABM so the Stillen CAI was the best option for me.
Whatever you choose, I'd recommend staying away from oiled filters.

Awesome! That's the plan. Not a fan of cutting a new hole, and appreciate the link!
