21 platinum crew max. Carfax showed “minor incident” left front. When purchased in April, they were replacing the sunroof for a broken rod.

stain was already there but assumed it was the sunroof that had leaked and would be g2g now. Been garaged all summer. Yesterday was driving in the rain. And when I got home, noticed the water stain had darkened. Sure enough it was wet.

took off A pillar and it was wet there and all down towards the dash which makes sense. Pulled headliner out and felt up inside. Nothing wet. Opened sunroof and felt around on headliner. Nothing wet.

could the windshield not be properly sealed? Don’t have any wind noise. Possibly the roof channels? They seemed to be glued down and no noticeable holes.

I did notice a clear probably 3/8” tube behind the wiring and air bag that runs down and into the fender well around the dash. Is that some sort of drain or vent that could be sucking water up and may have a hole in it?

not wanting to take it to the dealer without knowing for sure it’s the sunroof and their fault.

If there was nothing wet near the sunroof. I'd bet the leak is elsewhere. Photos would help us help you.

Not sure what 3/8 tube you are referencing. but it may be the hvac box drain. Again a photo would assist.

lighting is terrible. The tube I’m referring to is back behind the wiring. Kind of opaque. Not quite clear.

A tube up there would likely be the drain for the sunroof so it doesn't do what you are seeing. perhaps that drain tube is cut.

I am thinking the tube is part 10 here in this exploded view.

With the trim open (door closed). I'd get out my hose and gently wash down the sunroof area and see if the wet repeats. not too difficult to mostly make the water go where you want it to go with a handy towel or 3.

appreciate that. Hopefully it doesn’t cool off too much this week and I’ll try it out after work.
