Anyone have feedback on Tyger products?

I'm curious about these steps. I like that they don't hang low but stick out enough to provide enough step for my steel toes... any feedback on their products? Thanks.

I have them and like them a lot. The company is great to work with too if you have problems, which I did due to shipping.

 

I have a different set from them and am very happy with them. Mounted up just fine in my driveway @ 11pm after work. Seem very strong, my 270lb ass was jumping on them to test them. I say go for it. More money for other mods.

 

I’m 180 and I jump on the bed still lol thanks for the feedback. The price point is certainly a factor - instead of a grand on amps I’d rather put more towards a grill guard

 

I'm looking for the same thing and was really excited about these when I saw the price until I saw that they mount to the body and not the frame. Personal preference but no thanks

 

im on the fence with these as well, id order but 1-2 months back order

 

SMILE jumped up and down on his and they were sturdy so I'm thinking they'll work fine for me.

 

These bolt to the holes that came from the factory I am 250 lbs and could dance on these all day

 

Bolting to the body is fine for steps, but NOT for sliders. If I was gonna offroad my Tundra I would go frame mounted. Although my jeep steps are attached to the body and I have had my Jeep hanging from them on rocks with no bending. Yea if you get in a side collision they will bend the body, but that's why the insurance company buys a new truck

 

I don't plan on doing any rocky trails etc...I run on the beach and mud when she goes off-road.

 

And if all someone is looking for is a step, then you're probably right although it is interesting to note that the factory steps I've seen bolt to the frame and not the body. Probably means something but even if it doesn't, I'd still prefer something that offers some protection to the rocker panel which IMO is a good thing even if you don't do any serious offroading. Again, that's just my opinion on it

 

I have the same style but on my wife's 4runner. Build quality and finish is spectacular. Price is amazing. I'm not a huge fan of the stars but I don't hate them either - that is my only minor complaint, otherwise I love the style of these too.

 

I hate the stars. I think that's the only reason these aren't on my truck.

 

One of the guys on the 4runners forums used some black grip tape over his stars - looked pretty alright when he was done too. I don't hate them bad enough to go that route, but it's an option.

 

I am guessing that plate would grind off pretty easily and you could put another in its place, but that is a lot of time and effort for relatively cheap steps.
