    Hello all !
I have a 2000 SR5 AC that both the driver and passenger doors are having a hard time shutting . I have to slam both and the passenger side sometimes pops out . What could be the problem? I did find some black plastic pieces coming out of the locking mechanism.

Door latch, or check the door reinforcements to see if they are cracked and causing the door to be out of alignment.

My door hinges are worn out and causing the doors to sit slightly low, and you have to slam them to get them to close.

You can see if your hinges are worn by opening the door and applying upward pressure to feel/see if there is slop. You can buy a kit to replace the pins in the hinges and fix that issue, I have yet to do it myself.

Sorry, I didn't mean to say reinforcements. Meant to say the door check where it screws into the door. In the middle of the door, the plastic piece that keeps the door open. Sometimes those can crack from too much force opening the door. The fix is to add reinforcements to those if they are cracked.
