Damn you guys have some nice stuff, mine is not exactly up to par but its been my EDC since I can't remember when. Wife got me this thing a while ago as part of a birthday present, its been used and abused well above its capabilities. It sharpens well and keeps its edge ok and opened many a bottle of beer, I really like it.

I've abused many Smith and Wesson knives. Nothing wrong with them and they get the job done and it also doesn't hurt to replace them when needed or lost.

I’m sure that I’m in the minority here, but I make a pretty solid effort to avoid buying anything that is Chinese made. I have several reasons for this and it’s not entirely the poor quality, because that’s actually been improving, of late. Anyway, this is just me…

I’m not sure which is the crooked river, but I’m pretty fond of all Benchmade knives!
There is something about real wood that has a strong appeal to me but synthetic and man made materials definitely have a lot to offer. Especially in the combat and tactical venue.

It’s the one with the wood on the handle. Good sized and really solid. I’m not a huge fan of the brand (mainly because their prices have gotten out of hand over the last few years) but that one is a favorite in my collection. It’s gotten a lot of use over the years.

I think I mentioned it here, but a couple months ago I snagged an old Leatherman Wave at a garage sale for $2. It had a broken tip and the handled were loose. I sent it in for warranty repair. They sent back a letter saying they no longer make that model of Wave and instead gave me a brand new Wave+ and case.

    Smoking deal!
Reminds me of a spotting scope a friend found on top of a mountain one deer season. It had been there for at least a year. He sent it in to Bushnell and they replaced it!

Flea market scores from this weekend

Never Used Spyderco Para 3 G-10 DLC S30V (factory second) $90
From a local couple who were selling some of their collection. Very knowledgeable and great to talk to. He had a some other Spyderco's from $75 - $300 as well as some other high end knives too. I am a sucker for the G-10 Scales and the DLC finish so the Para 3 caught my eye. He wanted $110.

Never used CRKT Brian Tighe 8102 $4.00

Never used (3) Whitetail Cutlery (Frost Cutlery) $4.00 each ($12.00)

The CRKT and the Whitetails were in a box marked $5.00 Each.
Everyone was passing the box up because they thought it was just junk in there, (Which it mostly was)
The CRKT was a good find and I grabbed the Whitetails because there were 3 in like new condition and thought they were kind of cool. He said $16.00 for all 4.

My wife is selling some signs and ornaments she made at a craft show that’s coming up. I decided to make something to help draw the men into her stand as they walk around carrying everything their wives bought.

Let me know what you think?
Lots of similar items on Etsy for price comparison.

Which color do you think looks better?
What price would you pay for one?

Added another P3 (Cru-Carta / Cru-Wear blade and Micarta scales) to the collection and a couple Byrds. In the process I met some great people that are fairly local to help feed my collection when I want to add more. I paid $150 for the P3 and $20 each for the Byrds. Thought it was a good deal but curious what Black Friday will bring.

So it is not a knife but my new storage case. It's 1942 Gershner machinist tool box. It is amazing shape all things considered. The machinist that owned removed the center drawer and built a radio into that space i couldn't get it to work but i will.

Today, me and a friend who are fans of a specific knife company talked about his recent purchase over at Benchmade. I referred him to @gosolo while showing him my favorite of his knives I am still watching and saving for, hoping no one buys it before I get the money again....

why are knives so freaking cool?

Over the weekend I picked up a couple more Byrds. I know these aren’t the top of the line knives but for $18 each, I couldn’t pass them up.
Now I’m looking for more good deals. What are your go to sites for knives for Black Friday deals?
