Grew up with a fake one because my older brother had really bad hay fever and a real pine tree was hell for him. He had pneumonia when he was really little so that stuff wasn't messed with. I greatly prefer a fake tree.

We put up the wife's artificial tree on the main floor. I'd like to do a real tree upstairs in the bonus room but it's all carpeted.

 

We always did a real tree and my mom would deal with her asthma/allergies for a few weeks. She finally got fed up with that a few years back and got a fake one.

 

Have y'all seen the prices of fake trees?

Costco had a 6 foot lighted tree for $800.

 

We have had the same fake tree for over 25 years.

 

I'm not by any means a curmudgeon about holidays, but we don't put up a tree. My wife puts a wreath on the door, a garland on the fireplace, and a nativity scene on the dining table; and the grandkids have stockings. That's it.

I told my wife I want a 67 Mustang v8 convertible in dynasty green for Christmas, same as the year before. We’ll see what happens. I’m trying to sell the idea of an airbag free car.
