What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Bought this Daytona 12ton bottle jack from Harbor Freight with the 15% weekend sale today to replace the stock one. Fits perfect in the ESP storage bin. Bent the bracket for the stock jack down so I'll be able stick a couple pieces of wood in there. May eventually see about removing that bracket completely and use that small bit of space. The Daytona may even fit in there once removed.

 

Does anyone have any idea who makes these brackets or frames ?

 

I just went to harbor freight and got a floor jack
I will return and get a bottle jack and swap it out like you did

 

It seems to be a pretty well built bottle jack. I've got the Badland for garage use but I wanted to have something reliable for emergency roadside repair if needed and 12ton is definitely that. A bit of overkill but still better than the stock one IMO.

 

Yeah, I'm gonna pass on that upgrade. I really don't want Jack oil leaking out onto my floor.

The mechanical version works just fine.

 

I thought about that too so I was glad that it fit perfectly in the ESP bin which is plastic so if it were to leak, it'd be an easy cleanup

 

What launcher are you using? Nova? Car Launcher Pro? I have been on the fence on these for a few months now. I want to be able to run a split screen with spotify, and Waze. Also, how is the radio? Do you know if it picks up HD stations like our stock units?

 

Im new to launchers but seems like the majority is running Nova prime and that what I got. I run Spotify and waze or YouTube no problem. As for Radio stations it should because it comes with a way to connect oem antenna or you can use the one provided. I don't use the radio so I can't provide feedback on that end.

 

Any other issues with other car systems, settings etc. not working?

Nope so far everything works correctly. Only thing that very doesn't count as not working is i wanted to use an OBD scanner to display parameters but can't get it to work correctly.

Sometimes I sit and watch tundra builds on YouTube. one day I came across this this build and I wish i had found it sooner I would have ordered them IMMEDIATELY!!

Something like that would definitely work. Can also get one of the ammo boxes from Harbor Freight. I wanted to be able to store it under the seat out of sight.
This is another option but a bit more costly...

I have the same setup except 20 inch rims and will be needing tires soon

 

Nice!! I swapped out the OE one with a 6 ton Big Red from Amazon.

 

Those Badland 3 tons are nice. I have 2 of them. One in the garage and one in the truck.

 

I’d personally prefer to not have my fogs aimed to the side that much, but I know that was his intent with the design. They are probably the most solid and best looking mounts for the factory bumper to date.

Yes. It's locked to the mount and my bed cover locks as well.

 

I put the Wheelers bump stops on today. Got a before and after picture. And a comparison picture of OE & Wheelers bump stops. I didn’t drive it yet after the install. Tomorrow I will to see/ feel the difference .

 

Installed Air Lift air bags for towing. (Picture is of the single schrader air valve near the tow connector)

 

Refinished the White Knuckle sliders today. Raptor liner for the tread plates and matte black for the tubes for easy touch ups.

it's pretty quiet when using it with an air compressor

 

Finally completed my IMS lift with the Dobinsons medium leaf pack (L59-121-R). The ride is much better than the 1" block I had previously. The smartcap is 168 lbs and the decked system is apparently 200 empty. I have all of my tools in there so I should be 400-500 lbs constant load. I was nervous about it riding too rough and being too high in the back but i am super happy with how everything turned out. I purchased the bushing kit, greasable pins, and new U-bolts from Dobinsons as well. Had to get new longer carriage bolts for my airbag cradle to fit around these fat leaf packs. RCI Arapaho bumper with the short hoop to go on next. Should be shipping soon!!!

 

Do you know what your hub center to fender measurement is on the rear?

 

I can check when i run home for lunch!
