Fender mount is simple, cheap and works well. ( This is my 2M setup)

Great! Any chance of snapping a pic of inside fender where it attaches? Wanna make sure I order correct mount. Where did you get it?

Where should I run the antenna wire and jack through firewall? Really don’t see a good spot.

If you look in the engine bay at the firewall, you'll see a round rubber grommet (just smaller than a coke can in diameter) with a wiring bundle passing through it; there should be one on each side (passenger and driver's side) passenger side is easier to access as the driver's side sits a bit lower on the firewall and inside the cabin there's a bit more to deal w/under the dash on the driver's side...

Anyhow, those rubber grommets will generally have a protruding rubber nipple above and below the wiring harness that's passing through it already. If you snip the tip of the rubber nipple off, it's hollow and you can pass through the firewall at that point w/o much difficulty; sometimes shielded cable/wire will slide through the rubber nipple a bit easier if you just put a thin layer of water based lube on the wire/cable you're passing through
