Too many variables to really offer a ruling

My opinion is the cat with the serious target unit should have leased the entire range to himself. If he won't/cant rack his rifle, then he didn't belong there.

I respect his dedication, but if he got that much coin involved in his shooting rig, he can afford having the place to himself...in addition, he most likely doesn't want the distraction of other shooters around.

I could give 2 shits about feelings or interpretations.

If the range rules say rack the gun, you rack the gun before the range is considered clear.

No one should be chastised for pointing out the rules.

I feel no arrogance or entitlement was intended when the comment was posted.

Hoover damn is controlled by Dept of Interior (Bureau of Reclamation); they actually have a tactical rapel team for the sole purpose of peeling clothing and body parts off of the bent rebar that protrudes from the walls of the damn. The rebar was not naturally bent during construction, some of the pieces have folded over after being struck by flying bodies. If you look over the observation deck of the damn, and are actually looking for it, you can see the exposed rebar and will see some of them folded over...

To me, odor that is really foul or specific to condition (decomposition, etc.) is far worse than the visual of trauma or the feel of skin slippage after drowning, etc... Heavy, foul odor seems to just linger not just in your nose, but in your mouth as well (you can almost taste it) and it stays w/you much longer.

Charred human remains from a plane crash (watched it go down a few miles from me) and the subsequent fire, burning, etc. that occurred has left the strongest memories for me; it's something that I'll never forget and so far NOTHING has been like it...

I hate dealing w/dead children, but the plane crash scene was far worse than than pulling (2) drowned children out of a pool (after they had been there a little while)

 

Ive heard scent is supposed the sense that has the strongest ties to memory. Idk the source on that, but it's tossed around all over. If it's really true then your preference for drowned kids over BBQ people would probably be the norm.

Yeah. A buddy of mine said the first time he smelled burning people it made him hungry because it smelled like smoked pork. He thought somebody was cooking. Didn't know it was people.

Speaking of car wrecks;
We were waiting to go in a haunted house last night, heard loud grinding and saw a lady plow into three cars.
I went over to check on everybody involved. Poor old lady said she was trying to brake but couldn't, i think she had her foot half on gas/brake.
Her last ditch effort was to apply the e-brake and downshift. I think she ultimately threw it in park (grinding noise just before the wreck)

Her Rav4 was totalled, no airbags deployed oddly enough.
Totaled a parked Pathfinder, broke the front driver tire off and sent the axle down the street.
Impala in traffic got their bumper smashed in.
Minor damage to a Jeep GC in traffic.

Crazy part is that a family just parked and left the Pathfinder 90 seconds before the wreck, that could of been bad..

 

Yeah I was going to say something about the divers I used to work with that were on the salvage team. Instead I think it's time for this.

Opposable thumbs!

 

Yeah, my daughter's convinced that her, the cat's, offspring would take over the world. Four feet with opposable thumbs. Fortunately, she had the cat neutered.
All four feet have multiple opposing thumbs and the cat uses them to pick up stuff like crayons that the grandkids leave on the floor, by picking them up like your or I would. It's pretty impressive.

 

This right here is the GZ that I've come to know and respect. And knowing this part of who you are was one of the reasons I was pushing so hard yesterday. That's a solid response for clarification and also shows your ability to take what you dish. Cheers
