Did I read this right, you want to cut a hole in your roof and add a sunroof that didn't come from the factory? I don't even trust the factory versions!

You reminded me of my first reply on this forum (post #7).

Adding moonroof/sunroof to a double cab | Toyota Tundra Forum (tundras.com)

Mine's a DC, but doesn't matter. It's aftermarket, but that doesn't matter either. Probably easier/cheaper to go aftermarket, and Webasto is fantastic. It's been installed 7 years now & I haven't had a single issue. Just make sure you find a reputable installer...mine was very good & installs them regularly for local dealerships.

Well this morning started off with a surprise…luckily just pulling out of the driveway and I could get two lugs put back on to get off the street. Scary to this what could have happened and I have no clue how it happened. Tire’s just got worked on a month ago and haven’t been touched since.

guess that's why the shops always say "come back after 50 miles and we'll check them for you". I never have done it myself, but I did have a couple lugs come off on a old taco. I give em a quick hand check every once and a while now if I've had them rotated.:fingerscrossed:

The tire shop worked on it last? This is a classic case of over torqued lugs with an impact.

Sorry to see this happened,, but I had the same thing happen years ago.. Had a tire with a leak fixed and then went on a 300 mile trip and on the way home got knocking and vibration while going 60 mph. Slowed to get off at an exit and the wheel just popped off going 25 mph. Lucky no one was hurt. Long story short, it turned out to be a faulty impact gun at the shop that worked on my wheel. Glad you are ok though.

Faulty impact - BS flag raised. Most of those impacts can generate 300 ft-lbs plus. You put an untrained tire monkey on it and this it what you get. I always tell them they snapped a lug previously and insist on them using a torque wrench to tighten my lugs. I usually have to also specify the factory torque value.

Installed TRD Pro headlights and Grille. The 3D garnish blends in perfectly.

The red TOYOTA blends in also with the door emblem

    Yes bumper is next

This picture must have been taken after you removed it from the kitchen counter right?... :boink: Congrats on finding a decent core. Have you decided who you're going with for the build?
