As the saying goes, the first lucky/happy day when you buy a motorcycle(2022 + Tundra in my and many others case)
And the second lucky/happy day when you get rid of this garbage, my 2024 Platinum. In my case it took "only" 9.5 months of fighting with this previously great company,. You can read about 50% of my ordeal in my previous posts, i did not want to bother you with the rest 50% Unfortunately American automakers can shit anything up, even the greatest. Now i just lough when i hear their proud statements about Tundra being the most American made vehicle.

Runt is over, as well as my deals with toyotas, now i'll buy ford, ram and such, at least i know i buy garbage and have no expectations. As soon as warranty is over, trade it in and buy another garbage.

Congratulations on only taking 9.5 months. Recently completed the same with jeep except it took almost 2 years. And that was with using a lawyer who was actually an author of our state’s lemon law. Who knows how long it would take fighting them alone. It’s truly a shame how many loopholes these corporations have as a scapegoat to screw over the consumer who are the reason they are open for business anyway

So now you can use that money to buy a brand new 2025 Tundra. The chances are you'll actually get a reliable truck the second time. (unless you're really unlucky) The failure rate of these trucks is likely less than 1%.

So what was the issues with the truck?
I searched your posts and only see comments on engine oil and drinking in cold weather.

There are truly some angry fan boys on this site. Dude obviously had a bad experience with your precious Toyota and they bought it back and took care of him. Why the negative comments for the guy? Shouldn't you be mad at Toyota for building his POS that had to be bought back? Is y'alls ego that fragile that a truck has to define your identity? Geez guys, be nice.

I love my truck, but it has numerous flaws. Had more issues with it in less than 1 year of ownership than I ever had with my F150s. Not bashing, just speaking truth. Still love the truck, but I'm not sure I'll feel the same in 50k miles if things keep going wrong. Y'all know the trucks have issues, quit acting like all of yours are absolutely perfect. And for those that keep quoting less than 1% failure rate. Great, but to that less than 1% that are affected, it's everything. Empathy people, walk a mile in their shoes.

Yeah, I don't get that at all. If saw someone struggling with a huge purchase and then the manufacturer takes care of them, I would be happy for them. I guess some of these guys are just worried that their precious trucks resale value might be affected....by the problems....the problems that actually exist....and people are really affected by.

He came in here to rant. Or runt. That was his choice. So he should have expected some pushback on it. If it was more like, Hey guys, I've had a ton of issues but luckily Toyota was able to help me out and buy my truck back. I'll move on to another automaker. Wish me luck and best of luck to all of you! That would have been a different story.

If I paid $74k for a truck that had to be bought back after less than a year due to poor quality, I’d rant too. I think I’d have earned that right after everything he probably went through. Too many folks here in that live in Toyota branded glass houses.

Never said ranting is wrong. But this is a semi-public forum and others are allowed to state their opinion too. Welcome to the internet.

And it would not be so difficult if not Lisa A McWhorter who for some reason declined my "buy back" request after my tundra was in the dealership for over 35 days with no signs of parts. They were on national backorder with no ETA and Jim Riehm who dragged his feet for over 2.5 months after my buy back was finally approved (after "only" 7 month with KY GA involvement)
Those human waste from Cincinnati Toyota office are real garbage. The things finally moved when i was able to find the cell pone number for their manager who appeared to be a very good person and closed the deal in less than 2 weeks and even voided my mileage deduction. Otherwise i'd still be calling and leaving hundreds of messages and emails with no response from those two garbage creatures.

They even ignored the AG's emails and voice messages.

Sorry, i did not read your comments guys. just wanted to share my experience FYI and enjoyment, and also put the names of those creatures for ppl to know the real heroes.
