I think there were two challenges with an X2 AGM Group 31, which was the brand I wanted. The size was one aspect and the other was they don’t make a reverse terminal option with the + & - in the opposite configuration to fit our trucks.

 

We (the wife) joined the 3rd gen club yesterday. This thing is pretty sweet.


I’ve been told I’m not modding it. I think she might be incorrect. First thing on the agenda is some exterior chrome removal.

 

I keep telling people to not buy this junk...either go with DD, BD or Rigid...in that order

I have been told the same. A few minor ones so far, but my wife is very against major modifications. Tacoma was altered a great deal by the end and she was very annoyed she couldn’t use the full bed to carry things.

We actually got a decent discount off the sticker price. I was happy with the deal, and she’s happy with the new ride. Hoping the 2024s are safe from the 3g growing pains, which seems to be the case from what I’ve read on here.

Installed my Grille S8 Led Bar Today

 

This place is a gateway drug to an instagram account for my truck. Loving the chromestoppers @EC1. I’d say it’s a perfect match, but you can decide yourself.

oh, and here’s a close up of the badge mod from the door badge…will probably go with Rave’s version.

 

I like the truck but feel like the hood badges are out of place. Silver is a clean color that shows well as is. Maybe that helps that dreaded sun glare?

 

I like the monochrome look. One of the things that sort of bugs me about mine is the blue exterior accents.

 

You mean the actual badges or the entire “scoooops”? Probably replacing them with lower profile 3D prints from rave. Otherwise, I’m happy with how it breaks up the hood and does help a smidge with the glair.

 

Grille swap done today. Also added screens for intercoolers while I had it apart.

 

Tinted the front windows, leveling kit and changed tires and rims.

Should I paint grille mustache white? Or is chrome stoppers cover good enough ( I'm going trough car wash every 3-4 days )

Installed wireless charger ( again - the one from aliexpress died) - it is very slow one, looking for alternatives

 

If you have windchill pearl, the match (at least in my experience, see pic) is not close. I ended up going to a body shop and got a much better match.
