I have a 2022 Tundra SR with the TRD off-road package and the stock 18" Toyota wheels and tires. I came across a brand new set of 20" wheels and tires off a 2024 Tundra for $800. I don't really understand the whole thing with the pressure sensors. For those of you that have changed out your wheels and tires, what expenses am I looking at? When I talked to the dealer, they said minimum 1.5 hours of labor, and I will likely need to have to unmount my current tires, pull the sensors to put on the replacement wheels. Basically looking at around $500, which kinda blows the "deal". Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I’d reach out to discount tire or a similar tire shop around you. They will be way cheaper. You could also buy a set of tpms sensors to put in the new wheels if you didn’t want to transfer. When I bought my new wheels and tires I just added new tpms sensors so if I ever went back to stock I could swap the old wheels on easily.

    Lots of stuff!
I took my sensors out of my 18" Turd wheels and put them in my aftermarket wheels. I sold the wheels and gave the tires to my nephew. If you get a set of Tundra wheels you could always ask the seller for the sensors as well. Then you can swap them back and forth like SM Tundra suggested.

Read your manual that came with truck. You can register up to 2 wheel/tire sets yourself or pay someone else to do it. I found procedure in my manual but I’m too lazy to figure out how to copy and paste it

Why do you want to go to 20's on a truck with the Off Road package? (Not being sarcastic, serious question)

Just like the look better or what?

I personally think most of the TRD wheels look pretty good, and I'm admittedly not a fan of the more wheel, less tire look.

I'm not doing any off-roading. I just like the look, and I really dislike the look of the stock 18's on the truck.

When I swapped wheels the other day I had tires mounted, old sensors installed and balanced for $130.

That's more in line with the quote I got today. Thanks!

Most independent shops are $25-$30 per tire. Tire disposal and environmental fee brings up the price.

I swapped my existing TPMS sensors into new tires/wheels at my local NTB and they charged me $85.36

The discount tire near me charges $35 per tire to swap sensors.
