I’m question if there is any way to know if a truck has the convenience package if the window sticker is not available.

I’m shopping new and used. Sales staff of used vehicles are typically clueless of their product.

 

Vin will always have the build info tied to it, forever

 

If you have the large tank, Blind Spot Monitor, and your trucks beeps like the end of the world pulling in your garage, then you probably have it. But definitely look up the VIN.

 

The Toyota website will allow you to add any valid VIN to your Toyota Owners account on their website (https://www.toyota.com/owners/). All you need to do is create an account, login, and add the VIN as a new vehicle to your account and you can see the original window sticker, build sheet, port add-on's, dealer service appointment details, etc. Whenever I look at a used Toyota (or Lexus for that matter - need a Lexus owner account), I ALWAYS do this! It's very helpful, but scary that I can add a vehicle to my account that I don't actually own.

 

In my opinion the best overall trim is a platinum with trd package and 3” factory lift. Unfortunately I couldn’t find a 5’5” bed platinum and had to go with a limited, but must admit I miss having real leather, black headliners and some other small luxury items.

I’d go Platinum all day over capstone or trd pro

 

I went back and forth between the Platinum and the 1794. I ended up with the 1794 and love it. Has real leather too!

For $10, you can get a copy of your window sticker to find out what all your used truck was equipped with at the factory. I had to do exactly this here. The dealer printed up some paper that even showed dealer invoice, but only gave package codes. Those did nothing to explain what they were and I couldn't find anything on them. Toyota is horrible about window stickers from what I understand. I tried the Toyota website, and it was way off. It had my limited with a red interior. There is nothing red on my truck anywhere.
