For me it was the limited. Came with Panoramic Sunroof. It has everything that I personally wanted to have. Just personnel preference

I bought a 2022 Limtd (OR- Pan Roof- NH) with a couple of miles on it- I love mine! I've experienced no hesitation from the engine and the power is more than suffice- I have no problem with acceleration or moving in and out of slow traffic when necessary. I'm consistent with warming up my turbos from a cold start- I found that makes a marked difference in engine performance (at least from a cold start). I drove the Hybrid... if you want to spend it on the extra power and lose the storage space- that's personal but I didn't find the extra $$ made a significant difference (for me- but I am not pulling anything- and... I am frugal). Nonetheless, I think the extra power offered in the "HIGH PERFORMANCE" upgrade they are now offering would be cool to have (if you're comfortable spending 80K)- I might have to get one of those later on. Best of luck.

May I ask if you feel driving the OffRoad more bouncy/Less comfortable on OnRoad. I don't do off-road but like the cool 18' wheel and black out things hence the question

Just to confirm- I believe the Limited- OR- is sold with the 20's- I did not know they sold 18's with the OR package. I do not find a less comfortable ride in the off road. But whether the Limited is ON or OR I believe they still offer the Bilstein shocks on both. I have heard the TRD PRO (Fox shocks) may ride a little more stiff than the Bilsteins but I did not test the TRD PRO. Test drive both.

I ruled out limited +. I dont like leather seats, and the sunroof is something I dont want.

I really only need, the basic sr, however I,felt that the features of the sr5 trim were very useful and worth the money. I didn’t really need the offroad package for all the fancy doo dads, but the rear locker was something I “may” need.

so,for me the best value is the sr5 trd offroad. Wouldn’t have it any other way. Sport and offroad were the same price so I,got the off road stuff for “free” and I don’t care for bigger wheels, lower profile, tires

They come with 18's in Canada and I think you are correct, 20's in the USA.

Personally, I find that my 1794 rides and handles better with 265/70-18 rubber and wheels than it did with the stock 265/60-20 rubber and wheels that came with the truck.

BTW, the only reason I have a 1794 was because my 2015 Tundra had just been totalled and the 1794 was the only Tundra the dealer had available in stock.

I didn't say the Fox shocks were not better... some have said they rode a little stiff compared to, etc.

I concur with the above so much so I think our trucks are twinsies, color and all. Mine stickered at $54k and added a BAK tonneau and tinted windows at dealership and got OTD under $50k with only first payment and sec dep down. Pretty happy with price and the truck overall after couple months ownership. Good luck in your search.

4x4 and Crewmax were the only real requirements, the rest was the gravy. This is a long term vehicle for me, so i got the features i wanted with the Platinum, and added the 10 year plat extended warranty a month later.

I'll never understand the attitude I get from saying this Tundra model is the worst. Quality is trash, fuel economy is trash, and there are several open recalls. If you plan to buy this truck, in any trim, as a daily... Look elsewhere. I can only imagine the nightmare hybrids will be. I seriously can't be the only owner pissed at Toyota?

Not a single problem yet on mine and really do like it better than the last gen. Only 1500 miles in though. Sorry you seem to have got a bad one, that sucks and do understand how that can affect thinking. Trade for something you like, as life's too short as it is.

just trade it and move on, the majority of us have good trucks and like them better than anything else on the market

like the guy just said, life is too short to be that pissed off over a truck

and the attitude is your experience is in the super minority of actual gen 3 owners so saying all that like gospel doesn’t make sense for our situation

It's not without flaws. I'll give you that but looking for anything better in the big three will leave you sorely disappointed. They all have flaws. I still feel like toyota has less.

As far as the o.p. question. . I love my trd sport. I don't like all the chrome so that's why I went this route. It's sits too low in the front and street tires on a 4wd is ridiculous but I'm fixing that soon. It has basically every option a limited has minus the jbl audio and panoramic roof(which I wouldn't want). On the flipside, the limited will probably resale for more and I paid what a limited costs. All in what you want.

I have the same truck, and agree, it’s really nice for a basic model.
OP, while I agree the hybrid is enticing, you probably don’t really need it. These trucks have plenty of power as they are.

Now that you are certainly confused. Go drive some different trim models and figure out which one you like.

Thank you again for all your inputs. I narrowed down to SR5 sport or bare minimum Limited which is quite hard to find without much bells and whistles. The SR5 sport rides nicer "on road" in comparison with "off road" version and does look nice with black TRD wheels and no chrome... If goes with Limited, it mainly for Hybrid engine as it seems a little smoother at take off. Merry Christmas everyone!

What works for you is great, the SR5 trim is probably the most popular overall and has the most optional feature choices. Whereas higher trims a lot of features may be standard whether you desire said features or not. Although not having hybrid make give up some "shnort" power wise. The non hybrid still has plenty of power for whatever you plan on doing with it.

I decided and made a purchase yesterday for a SR5 with Sport Edition+ Convenience package.

Nice ride for sure. Thank you all.

I considered a 1794 4x4 with hybrid. Then I compared mileage, and it was basically no different without hybrid. So I didn't waste the extra $$ and got the "standard" 1794
As to which package, Leather was a requirement.

Bumping this thread rather than creating a new one. Similar-ish topic.

How can I determine if a used 2022+ Tundra is equipped with the SR5 convenience package if the original window sticker is not available?

I know the fuel tank is larger, but most sales people don’t even know that much detail. Are there any body or interior ‘flags’ that a shopper could cue in on to identify trucks that do or don’t have the package?

    TIA
