    I have a 22 Sierra 2500, a 2017 4runner, and a 2023 Tesla Model 3 Dual Motor.

No plans to ever get rid of the truck or 4runner. Next car will likely be a Model S Plaid. I've actually been considering trading the 3 in on this lately.. we'll see.

For my next commuter, my top two choices would be a GR86/FRS/BRZ or a GR Corolla but the wife refuses to learn to drive standard so there's no point. Also, the Corolla is undoubtedly out of my price range.

    Wow, I hadn't seen these...

    300HP / 295ft/lb from a 1.6L inline 3 Cyl @ 26 lbs. of boost and AWD... that should be a hoot.

    Pretty sweet little hot hatch!

You get the manual or automatic? How quick is this little monster?

Another truck in a couple years....maybe. Thinking about getting another dirt bike to ride with my oldest.

Youngest daughter wants a jeep for her first vehicle in three years. Might see if she would like a LC or something like that.

Three years my wife retired, so maybe get her a new whatever.

I always temper these fantasy vehicles with ‘ I really want that’ with ‘I really like the
idea of that’. Gotta separate the bad ideas with the rational ones.
A new Honda Goldwing since my ‘97 Valkyrie died when I hit a Tempo head-on @ 55 mph
a long time ago. I miss the rolling asphalt and the smooth wind off the deserts.

After an accident like that, I'm impressed you want to ride again. It's in the blood...I know. Hard to explain.

It’s a manual, and loads of fun!
I haven’t let it loose on the track yet, but in spirited driving this thing always wants more and more. :burnrubber:

I'd keep the truck and find the most fun little "go kart" type car I could afford/make work. The new GR is nice, but it has a pop-up screen like all Toyotas and Honda's these days and therefore un-ownable imo. Nothing with a pop-up dash will ever be owned in this house. If I am buying a new car right now, and it's not a truck, the Caddy Blackwing sedans are up there on my list. I think they are somewhat neglected in the car world so maybe even available at a little discount, but I've never seriously tried to get into one.

As for the lack of space, kick some of those free-loading kids out of the damn house!

Shopping a new vehicle for the wife.. she’s had several trouble free Camrys. I love the look and tech of the 2025’s, but since they’re all hybrids it’s a no go. We tend to keep vehicles a long time.
Possibly do a RAV4 since it’s got the direct 8 speed and 2.5 motor still. We’ll be looking into an Accord also even though all models are turbo

In a very sad sort of testament to the downfall of modern America, that manual is also a very effective anti-theft system. :(

    Simple decision - GX550 Overtrail

Have a deposit on a Nori Green one which should be arriving in 4-6 weeks for the wife. She previously had a 2020 4Runner Pro which was amazing in the looks / utility / function, but couldn't get over how awful it was to drive as a daily due to the powertrain / lack of tech / lack of features, so she stole my Platinum Pro Tundra and we sold the 4Runner (I drive my work truck 95% of the time anyhow).

GX550 Overtrail solves all the issues we had with the 4Runner, and still has all the things we loved about the 4Runner.

My old man had a 1999 911 that he foolishly trusted me with only a couple of times. Totally useless and impractical but it was a neat car. Looking back it was totally his midlife crisis mobile lol.

I do not think he regreted it, though he looks back at the $$ he spent on cars and boats as a bit foolish and better kept for retirement.
    I remeber that thing rev’ed so quick. 180km/h in 3rd gear ;)

Well, most sports cars aren't practical, this isn't a practicality purchase, thats what the Tundra and GX460 were about, the 911 is just a life long dream/mid life crisis mobile.
