I finally got around to dipping my bumpers and I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out. Got rid of that chrome lol. Big change from when I got the truck 4 years ago.

Looks good! IF you wanted to do one thing to prolong the look, you can use some bedliner aerosol. It bonds well to the plastidip and creates a nice "shield" so you don't get rock chips eventually thru your plastidip. It does add some slight texture so if you don't want that look, stick with what you got.

    Truck looks good

Looking good. I did something similar and added the spray-on bedliner as noted above. It's held up will for several months now. Is your truck a base/SR model? Don't see them too often.

Thanks. I'll look into that to see if it's something I might try.

Here's after 2.5 years of use. Truck is dirty but I see no damage and this close up shows the slight texturing. Chrome bumper cap that I did the plastidip and bedliner to.

Nice. I like the flat/matte look. Do you know if they make a clear matte protectant?

For the plastidip? You can hit it with any paint or clear coat. Just make sure it has fully hit its cure time before you seal it with some paint. If you go with a clear, buy a 2K automotive one. They make aerosol versions or you can mix it for a spray gun (hvlp or lvlp).

Here is a version of an aerosol 2K matte clear:

So this is a protectant to help the Plastidip be more chip resistant? I'll have to check it out. Thanks

Its automotive clear coat, it isn't specifically for plastidip. If you paint any pieces for the truck, it would be the clear you could use since its in aerosol form and doesn't require a spray gun with compressor. I was just saying it could be used to protect the plastidip since you can paint plastidip once its cured.
