Decided to give sendcutsend a try. $50 shipped for 3/16 steel. Using this to mount my 5 baja designs pods on the front bumper. I’ll probably end up pulling the caliraised 43” bar out from the bumper while I’m at it. Cheap enough to try since I’m not ready to do a bumper yet.

I've worked a lot of gala's, meetings and events with all levels of politicians and something that always stood out was how many of them are really wealthy. Considering they are government employees earning between $150-400k they really are some of the most savvy investors, outperforming even Warren Buffett.

They passed a law making insider trading legal for Congressmen and Senators. If you want to see what's going on in our country, look not at what is different about the parties, look at what is the same.

I want to call bullshit on this but knowing our politicians history.... Yeah I can definitely see that being completely true.
Why did we go down this rabbit hole again? Buying a house in the jungle of Belize is really looking good again

I'm running them and got little to no lift on my heavy DC (bottom perch) but they are comfortable on and off road. I definitely don't regret getting them but my only comparison is to the clapped out KYBs that they replaced. I have been tempted to raise the circlip for some lift but have held off because I don't really want to add more preload to the springs. I'll probably upgrade to a 2.5" shock eventually but currently in no hurry since these ride nice.

Look for reviews from the 4runner crowd as they seem to be more popular option with them as well.

Expect them to come in a little softer than a 5100. Other than that, they're about the same!

Politicians are even worse in third world countries. Home ownership may only last one regime change.

    Doesn't matter when they're above/make the law.
    Nailed it.

Anyways.... What did I do to my Tbest gen today?

I hosed off some of the iron dust from Merus and hosed off my coolers.
Going to blast it with a pressure washer this weekend.

Debating on pickup up a cheap hard topper nearby. Seems to be in good condition.

Went with Summit X pipe for cost savings, quietflow muffs. Kept it under $380. Told my friend id due his heater core in his A4 if he fabs it for me. Im sure ill be kicking myself for that one.

    Gaskets for DD exhaust system?
So I asked Keith about that as well, because mine didn't have any either, and Keith said they don't need em. The muffler shop that did the install used some anyways.

Little softer than the billys. Are you gonna use OE springs? I might drop them to 2.25 if ever have the time to pull em again and want to wrestle with the springs. More for getting a little rake than worrying about the ride. I'm used to it stiff though as had the Billy's for 100k prior at full height 2.5". These are warranted that high though while billy say not use at those clip settings.

Nothing on my Tundras. Changed out the oil pan gasket on wife’s Suburban LS5.3 due to a leak. About 120K miles previous it had a similar leak and I was temporarily disabled with a bicep tendon tear so I took it to a garage. They replaced the gasket and a couple month later it started the Vortec tick. Everyone I talked to said it was a bad lifter. Well low and behold I found the little green oil ring on the oil pickup tube was split. Replaced it and now My oil pressure went from 20 to45 at idle and 40 to 80 at high RPM and no more Ricky-Ticky-tick as my kids call it. Score! Should have done this 100K ago.

For the most part, yes. But around here it's a lot more to do with clay and sandstone. There's some iron oxide, but it's more the clay and sandstone.

Added lights and built a little platform for the back. Got to try out camping in it for the first time and man is it better than a rooftop tent or cot tent. It was super windy all night and I didn’t hear anything. IMG_0512.jpg IMG_0532.jpg IMG_0535.jpg IMG_0537.jpg IMG_0543.jpg

Im sure he hasnt had time to cut them down yet. But when i had a similar setup in my last camper shell, I cut those short and put acorn nuts over them to smoothen them out.
