Hi all! I’ve done my research and my options are very limited when searching for a woofer and box to fit behind my rear seat. I upgraded my head unit (Sony 8500) and all cabin/dash corner speakers. Now there’s nothing but highs and not enough low.
The kicker compRT 6.75 woofer and enclosure will fit but I feel one 10 inch would be better. It’s only for my ears.

My question is has anyone installed the same type woofer and enclosure in 10inch. Model number is kicker 48TCWRT102. I believe the dimensions behind my rear seat is Width (side to side) = 53", Height = 11", Depth (front to rear) = 7" at bottom, 4" at top. The dimensions for the 10inch is 23.38"W x 11.88"H x 6.63"D1 x 4.0"D2.

It’s .88 inches over the height of my dimensions. Has anyone installed this in their truck? Did it fit? What amp are you using?

Any other suggestions besides custom box? I’m not mechanically inclined to build a box. Thank you all in advance.

My crewmax this just fits behind the rear seat, Bazooka BTA6100 powerd sub , 100 watt. 6 1/2 inch tube. Not super powerful or thumping but good enough to give it the bass needed...

Lol. Yes you need a sub box. You can build it yourself or buy one.

Depends on what you want to spend
    2016 tundra

I have 2 rockford fosgate p2 8 inch subs behind the seat of the crewmax. Local shop charged $300 to build

Soundbox has one that will fit the tundra can pick up the 10 inch version online for $144 on Amazon
The pioneer shallow mount subs will fit

Skar audio has a box and sub package for around $300

Or you can go all out. Order some gatley seat brackets to move the rear seat forward and give some space for a real sub setup. I am going to change my setup to this option. Already have the brackets and 3 dayton audio ultimax 10 inch subs
I just need to finish the box

Just depends on what you are willing to spend and what results you are looking for.

If you are looking for clean bass and some good output, and at a low cost I would do a single dayton audio 8 inch ho series. This sup will get low in the correct box.
The sub is on sale for $139 on parts express
Building the box for a single sub is not to hard to do, or a local shop would not charge to much for a single sub box.

thanks for the info. In my younger years, I’ve always had a sound system. Which is probably why I’m partially deaf now. Im much older now (50) and just want clear and well balanced system for my ears only. My highs don’t have any low which is why I wanted input regarding that small kicker10 inch with enclosure. I haven’t installed a system in over 25 years. But this should be easy. Woofer/box already built and run an amp. I read good things about it. Just don’t want to purchase and not have it fit. lol.

Maybe having a box built is the way to go. Appreciate the detailed response.

Given 619 Tundra's dims. You can go on Crutchfields website and build your own. Or have a friend that does woodworking help you. You'll get a much better thump.
