I think only legal off road. On road, they have to be covered. I think BD sells covers for all their lights.

This is true. I wanna say any lights that are above your stock headlights are required to be covered while driving on road. But I drove my Tacoma like this for just about 15 years without getting pulled over for the lights.

SDHQ brake lines are in. Coming home the other day, I got on the throttle and did some hard braking. I'll be dammed if I didn't get brake pulse again. I did factory rotors and Hawk LTS pads. Did the bed in procedure to the tee. Here I am back again with brake pulse. After going down the brake rabbit hole once again, I am going to look into Frozen or Stoptech cryo rotors with EBC green pads.

    Just kidding.
Been holding off on this one as I was nervous about cutting up the carpet. Picked it up yesterday direct from ESP and installed just now while waiting for one of my orders from the Fred Anderson sale.

Yeah, some of the laws here don't make sense but that's California for ya. With the lights, it seems like that alone wouldn't be enough reason to be pulled over. You would actually have to be blinding an oncoming cop to get pulled over for that. It's kind of like tinted windows. It seems like they don't pull you over just for that but they'll tack it on to the ticket if they pull you over for speeding. Ask me how I know. :(

It sounds silly, but are all the lug nuts torqued equally. Like with a torque wrench?

More fun times with my ARB air compressor! One of the waterproof fuse holders wasn’t waterproof, the wire corroded enough to cause intermittent drop out. Replaced both fuse holders with Midi holders and fuses. @BiggHertz has a much nicer solution, but I opted for the el-cheapo Dave fix.

That's one of my pet-peeves. I bought a TQ wrench just for my wheels. I cant stand when tire shops or dealers use impact guns. I have to actually replace some of my lug nuts because the last tire install shop ran the socket over the tip and not they are rusted. Or just clean them up and add some paint.

I have had multiple Toyotas over the past almost 25 years and I have had the best luck with OEM rotors and OEM pads.

I’m sure there will be lots of negative feedback on this, but the only time I ever had a wheel shimmy or shake upon braking was when I used a different rotor or pad.

I use it now because of all the talk early on about not torquing or over torquing the wheels damages the rotors. But yes, before them, I have never TQ any of my wheels.

I went with OEM rotors but not the pads. I did Hawk because I have had good luck with hem in the past. But I am now on a 2nd set of OEM rotors, 1 set of OEM pads and the Hawk. 3rd times a charm as they say.

Most recently (Feb 2024) I just changed out all four rotors and pads. Approximately 67k on the original OEMs. Mind you, that is with being lifted and on 35s for about 43k of those miles.

Replaced the rotors and pads with OEM, and have had zero issues or shimmy.

Two months later, added new tires (same size) ensured everything was torqued and have had zero pulsation issues.

Yeah, gonna stick with all OEM rotors and pads for when the time comes. I still got a long ways to go but just like to stock up on maintenance items.

DD ss3 max led fogs. interior and exterior leds swapTRD Shift knob.
Finally added the switch for the bed light. So now when the gate is open, the light is ON. The secondary switch to manually turning it off is there. In case i need to have the gate down for a long period of time.

Also added this vent mount phone holder for a Tacoma. Which work great.
