2024 TRD Performance Package

When did the stop sale happen, the only thing I know of are the badge and sticker for the fuel door. I just installed the intake and had it the program installed in last week or so.

 

The part # is on what Toyota calls a MAC Release. Which basically means Toyota will not sell one to the dealer unless they can prove with a VIN# that the truck came with the CAI from the factory and the part # has a note saying this is for port install only NOT to be installed by the dealer.

Now, when did that happen? I have no idea. But once a part is in the dealers inventory, Toyota can not stop them from selling said part. So if your dealer had it in stock already then that's how you got it.

 

No they had to order it from factory warehouse, took 3 days to get it.

Hmm... I wonder then if you got the last one before the MAC release lol or if they submitted your VIN and Toyota determined your ECU to be good to go lol. I would like to talk to the parts guy that ordered it for you

 

Toyota read this thread and saw they were missing out on a few grand in profit so they shut the back door method down.

 

Don’t know, I know they didn’t do anything with VIN, I talked in person with Technican and gave him my ECU info, he went and looked, he still had May calibration data that changed in June, was able to install it.

C’mon TOYOTA, we figured out how to do it cheaper than $3200 w@you were advertising and now you do this, really TOYOTA, c’mon.
They are all showing as "DISCONTINUED" even on internal systems...

 

Got a message from Ryan and they are now available again, but my dealership still showed discontinued, got in contact with a dealer Olathe Toyota in Kansas, they said Yelp available, so will go in person at my local dealership and see if the system updated on Monday. Southeast Toyota is a little different.

 

I officially want these parts again haha

 

I might try to order directly from Olathe and see what happens.

 

Any body have any luck ordering these from dealers up in Canuckistan?

 

Did anyone had this installed and drove the truck for few days ?
I just want to see what they think about the torque been available at 400 rpm lower ?
IS this difference been felt or is just another number ..

Just did this morning. Will see what happens

 

Have had it on now since the 3rd of Oct. Feels better on throttle response, but to truly know, one would need to have it Dyne's before and after.

 

What is the part # for the decal?

Here's the update from Toyota PR

The good news is that we will offer the TRD Performance Package for 25MY Tundra. This type of package requires additional government approval and testing for each model year, we will have to do this every year. We are currently waiting to get government certification to be able to offer this package. We will make this package available as a factory installed only option as soon as we are approved. The TRD Performance Package, once approved, will be expanding to many more grades for 2025. More details to come.

 

Part # PT929-34240 says it not available from Toyota lol this is just silly

They are on a MAC release just like the CAI system. Port install only is what they say. Again machd08 got the last and only 1 lol

 

To one of the few guys that have it... we need a video of the TRD performance exhaust! Whats the muffler look like too.

 

I have Dirty Deeds Industries exhaust from my 23 Tundra on it, didn’t get the Toyota exhaust

 

No deal on the badge, just got this from Olathe Toyota.
the emb you ordered is on manual control from Toyota which explains why it is not available. They are available only for port install.
