Which OBD2 Module to pick?

I did look at mine this morning. The pressures are good...within 1 lb as well. The battery voltage is off though. My head unit shows 12.8 and my SG3 shows 13.3.

 

It should. I have Bluetooth to my AA, my watch, and the Pedal Monster all at the same time.

 

Agree with @Tundra234 that you should be fine.

My phone connects to my Veepeak and my wireless carplay adapter and have no issues. It also stays connected to my garmin watch and i've had airpods in before too.

The only restriction is that the phone cannot play music/video/phone calls etc to multiple devices. But it will stay connected to them though.

I got the OBDLink MX+ module and the OBD Fusion paid app. So far so good. I need to figure out how to add custom PIDs and all that. Is got a Booster/PSI dashboard, not sure how good it is.

One thing I don't like, it does not connect automatically to the iPhone app? You have to hit connect all the time? Annoying. Or is just a setting somewhere to auto connect?

 

I can't see the trans temp, gear or lock up status PIDs. Do I need to add them manually?

 

Why do you have a paid app? I also have the MX+ and I use its app. It has all the PIDs you need. I Trans temp, Converter temp, gear status, etc. It has all the Toyota specific PIDs you could ever want.

Yes the having to hit connect all the time is annoying. I haven't found a fix for that.

 

I got the OBD Fusion paid app because it got a CarPlay menu so I can see some stats there and it was just $9

As stated, you need to use the OBDlink app, it will download all the extra PIDs associated with the vehicle. Its part of the reason the OBDlink MX+ cost so much because it includes all those extra PIDs in its app.

 

I picked up a Vgate reader today because it was the one recommended by the app I needed to use to adjust the tire sizes on my sons Wrangler. I decided to poke around here to see what people use, I might give obd fusion a try.
