I’ve had a 2012 Tundra and most recently a 2021 Tundra and boy is that engine dialed in on those trucks. I decided to make the switch to a 2024 Tundra and I’ve never been happier. It rides smooth, looks great and I was VERY impressed with the towing capacity. I was a little nervous pulling our 27 foot camper going from the V-8 to the V6 twin turbo but it handled it like a champ and had no issues at all. Didn’t even know I was on a hill etc. I’m pleased with what Toyota has done!!

Couple more thoughts after a few days. flyfisher I agree, this truck handles hills elevation and elevation changes better than anything I have ever driven. Turbos I guess. Someone posted a bit back about adding AT tires and noise, I have ko2s and I have no road/tire noise - way better than my 2016. Only noise I get is wind and it's not really bad at all, can only hear it with a strong cross wind - my wifes Subaru is similar in that respect.

The headlights/fog lights are excellent and I don't even have the upgraded lights that come on the limited and up - guess that is one thing you don't get with the OR premium but couldn't be happier with the standard ones.

Filled up again and got 19.1, pretty happy with that. My old truck got 15 in the same driving conditions.

Tow haul is similar in performance gains to my old truck but don't feel like I have to put it on to travel up and down passes.

Reverse camera is way better, the 360 degree overhead camera is pretty impressive once you get used to it.

Turn radius still really sucks and that is the biggest thing I have had to get used to. Interior lights are bad too but not a huge deal.

Suspension has settled in a bit and pretty happy now, it was stiff at first.

All I got right now, have a good evening everyone

So my 2023 was a short lived experiment with Toyota.. Multiple trips to the dealer and they were unable to diagnose , let alone fix a driveline vibration. Now my 4K mile 2024 has a oil leak that was diagnosed as a rear main seal.. But after being at the dealer for more than a week and transmission out.. It's leaking somewhere else and more of the truck has to come apart. It may just be bad luck but once I get the Tundra back.. I'll be getting rid of it for another F150.

oh man! Not a Ford. I understand the frustration though. Sucks you’ve had a string of bad luck. I’ve had nothing but good things for the past 3 Tundras I’ve owned.

It was several decades since I owned a Toyota.. I believe the last one was in 1989 and I had a 87 0r 88 Tacoma. Been a Ford guy since about 2004.. Has probably a dozen or more of them since then. Still have 3 of them now in different flavours. While they have had their issues over the years.. I don't recall any of them with any issues early on. .. I have a 2021 F450 Limited Diesel dually with the Powerstroke and 10 speed trans.. That truck ate the trans up at 15K miles and it was replaced under warranty and no problems since. .. Ill see how this Toyota repair goes.. but honestly.. Im skeptical.
