Official BS and shenanigans & Good Morning America Thread

Willis ISD, if that's where you currently are, is seriously in a quandary. They just gotta new supe and she MUST cut the fat - ditch the tired, old, apathetic staff and bring in fresh blood. That district has been under the Good Ol' Boy paradigm so long, it doesn't know any other type of leadership. With the influx of new students, and parents, scrutiny is at an all-time high.

just me existing there has ruffled the feathers of sooo many fragile “old guard” folks you speak of. the student body is the ONLY reason im still here…. the experience, certifications and already proven results (these first nine weeks) are the ONLY reasons im allowed/tolerated to be here/there

As someone who has challenged the status quo/old Guard wherever I've gone, let me tell you to "stay the course". The students are the reason we do this - nothing more.

 

ye, i hear that. the status quo hurts/harms more than one could ever believe. like you, i have done my best to help buck that trend. the resistance and pushback are very real ending up pinning a bulls eye target on my back. i make “too many waves” and “stir too many pots” according to the lot of my “colleagues”. teaching in texas is uhm def brutal on the educator… oop, i said that out loud

It isn't "Texas" more so the little good ol' boy networks that have been firmly rooted into place for far too long. The public has already shown their distaste for the district's lack of progress via shooting down the same 3 bond proposals twice (surprise, the district is pushing them down our throat again for another vote). The day is coming when the district will have to shed the dead weight or sink to the bottom [of academic ratings].

took Three hours for a trooper to show up.. I would say im bummed but I have to remember it could be worse, there was no loss of life and

( I am not saying God caused the accident just that it will work out according to his purpose. ) While waiting on the trooper this Ladys husband showed up hot and angry with her and will me
I had to walk away. he later apologized to me.. even though i gave her my phone to call him with.. She was well up in age.

Long story short, I was coming on the on ramp and I was merging. She was behind my boat in the lane I was merging in.. As the lane was collapsing
she speeds up and made contact with me. i got a ticket, for improper merging. i am going to contact a lawyer because it doesnt seem right but whatever happens
wont do much for paying two deductible's boat / trailer and Truck.

While we were waiting for the police, she and I somehow got on the subject of her faith and well she said her faith was debatable which is a great place to start.
We continued to talk for a bit and share the gospel of Christ. Maybe thats the good
